About Madara Child OneManga
Built for someone publishing a single series, not a library
Building a site for one manga with a theme designed for huge catalogs usually ends in empty shelves: genre sections with nothing inside, listings with a single title and a home page that doesn't know what to show.
Madara Child OneManga starts from the opposite idea: a site dedicated to a single work. It suits you if you are a fan who wants to dedicate a site to one series, or if you run several themed sites and each one revolves around one title. It doesn't suit you if your plan is an aggregator with dozens of series, or if you want a theme that works on its own.
Madara Child OneManga needs the Madara theme as its base
It is a child theme: it is installed on top of Madara, the parent theme, and takes care of the look and presentation. Without Madara there is nothing to activate, so plan for it from the start.
Don't expect this child to bring extras on its own, such as chapter coins, chapter scheduling or chapter thumbnails. In the Madara environment, those are handled with separate plugins.
A single-work site lives on the name of the series
People who land on a single-work site almost never search for your brand: they search for the title. You compete with fan wikis and any other page about that series, which is why the home page should work as the series page: synopsis, latest available chapter and a direct way to start reading.
One detail not to forget: publishing chapters of a work requires holding the rights or the permission of whoever owns them. The theme only provides the storefront.
What to look at in the OneManga demo
- How the home page looks with a single series loaded: whether it feels complete or full of gaps.
- How a chapter reads on mobile, where most people will read.
- What happens if you add a second series later: whether the design holds up or falls short.
Frequently asked questions about Madara Child OneManga
Does it work without the Madara theme?
No. It is a child theme and needs Madara installed as the parent theme.
Is it suitable for a novel site?
It is designed for a manga site. For novels, Madara has another dedicated child theme.
Can I publish several series?
Its focus is a single work. If you plan to grow into a catalog, check in the demo how it behaves with more than one series, or choose a child built for catalogs.
