About MailPoet (Free Activated)

A newsletter that doesn't depend on you feeling like writing it

Newsletters tend to die by week three: there's no time to lay them out, copy your posts, upload images to another platform and, on top of that, remember to send them. Most websites don't need to write more, but to get what they already publish to the people who said they wanted to read it. MailPoet works that way: it runs from your own WordPress dashboard, with the content and images you already have in your media library.

How MailPoet works inside your dashboard

The editor is visual and drag-and-drop, with templates you adapt to your brand without touching code. You can see a quick preview to know how the email looks before sending it.

  • New post notifications: they automatically send a summary of your latest posts, every day, week or month, to bring readers back to your site.
  • Welcome emails: greet each new subscriber with an email or a series of them, without you having to remember.
  • Lists and segmentation: you separate blog readers from buyers, and you can find inactive subscribers.

Blog, store or site with users: three different uses of MailPoet

If you have a blog

What matters is the automatic post notification and the welcome email. You set up the template once and the newsletter is fed by what you publish.

If you sell with WooCommerce

You can work with the WooCommerce customer list and launch automated emails such as abandoned cart, first purchase, or those triggered when someone buys a specific product or category. There is also a customizer so your store emails look like your campaigns.

If your site has registered users

You can build a list from your WordPress users and keep them informed without asking them to sign up again. First check that they have given permission to receive your emails.

Questions from people who want to put their newsletter on autopilot

Do I need to know design? No. You choose a template, change the text, colors and images, and send.

Do I need to upload images to another service? No, you take them directly from your media library.

Does it work for a store? Yes, it has automations designed for WooCommerce, so you need WooCommerce installed to use them.

Can I send to just part of my list? Yes, with list segmentation you can target specific groups.

Do I have to handle the sending myself? You can send through SMTP or with the WordPress-oriented sending infrastructure that MailPoet offers. Check in the settings which option is available in your case.

Sending many emails depends on your server

MailPoet prepares and schedules the emails, but whether they reach the inbox depends on how they are sent. If you use your hosting's mail, many providers limit the number of messages per hour and your list may hit that cap. For large lists it is best to set up SMTP sending or a dedicated sending service. And remember: having the list in WordPress does not exempt you from asking your subscribers for consent.
