About MainWP Favorites Extension

If every new client site forces you to rebuild the same stack from memory

Setting up a new site often starts the same way: you open the installer, look for the security plugin, then the caching one, then the SEO one, and wonder whether last month you used a different one. An agency's stack is rarely written down: it lives in the head of whoever built the last site, and each person on the team remembers it differently.

MainWP Favorites Extension is for anyone who manages several sites from a MainWP Dashboard and wants that stack to stop depending on memory. You save it once and deploy it whenever you need it.

It is not for you in these cases:

  • You have a single site: the extension works from the MainWP Dashboard and makes no sense without it.
  • You want to discover new plugins: it does not recommend or compare.
  • You expect to clone each plugin's settings too: what you save is the list of plugins and themes to install, so do not count on replicating configurations without checking first.

Groups that reflect your client types, not the repository's order

You can create several groups, for both plugins and themes, and name them the way you work. A few ideas that fit common use:

  • One group per specific client, with the tools that client runs.
  • One group per site type: blog, WooCommerce store or membership site.
  • Themed bundles for security, performance or SEO.
  • Your base setup for any new installation.

The base group is the most valuable: it turns what used to be habit into a list that anyone on the team can launch the same way.

Install a single plugin or a whole group with MainWP Favorites Extension

Each favorite can be installed on its own or in bulk with its whole group, on one site or on several at once.

There is no limit on plugins, themes or groups, so the list can grow with your client portfolio. That said, a huge list with no order brings back the original problem: each group should have a clear criterion.

Your favorites live in your dashboard, not in your WordPress.org account

Favorites are stored locally, inside your MainWP Dashboard, and they use neither the WordPress.org Favorites API nor any external API. You do not need additional plugins either: the extension integrates directly with the MainWP Dashboard.

Questions before you save your first group

Do I need anything besides the MainWP Dashboard?

No. It requires no other plugins or APIs: it integrates with the MainWP Dashboard and stores everything locally.

Can I install a whole group on several sites at once?

Yes. You can deploy single items or complete groups on one site or on several.

Is there a maximum number of favorites?

No. You can add as many plugins, themes and groups as you need.

Does it work for themes too?

Yes. You can create groups of both plugins and themes and install by group or by item.
