Before choosing a theme, decide one thing: do you want guests to book and pay on your site, or just to contact you?
Marina Hotel Resort Theme works for both cases, and that is its strong point. It fits if you are:
- A seaside hotel, resort, residence or spa with several rooms to show one by one.
- A villa or beach apartments that want direct bookings.
- A property that prefers to use the site as a catalog and send the booking to a portal.
It is not for anyone who needs the site to sync calendars with portals: what it offers is a custom link per room. If your operation depends on that, check it before buying.
Four ways to get paid and one way not to
The booking system comes built in with the ND Booking plugin. Marina Hotel Resort Theme lets you set up:
- PayPal.
- Credit card through Stripe.
- Payment on arrival at the property.
- Bank transfer.
You can also keep just the information request, with no obligation to pay. It is the option for the hotel that does not want to handle money on the site and uses it as a showcase for its rooms. You can enable the methods you want and disable the rest.
A search that shows availability without reloading the page
Guests filter rooms by price, by included services and by extra services, and sort the results by price or size. Because rooms load with Ajax, availability updates in real time, which saves time during the booking steps. It helps when you have very different categories (a suite and a double room) and the customer wants to compare quickly.
Seasonal rates, blocked dates and extras with their own price
From the panel you create unlimited rooms and manage the quantity of each type, the minimum booking days, the maximum guests and the size. What is most appreciated at a seaside destination:
- Default and seasonal prices.
- Booking blocks on specific dates of the year.
- Extra services bookable at checkout, priced by length of stay and number of guests.
- Orders as a list or a calendar, to see day by day which room is free.
- Promotions and coupons, multiple hotel branches, currency switching, WPML for several languages and management of city tax and VAT (check with your accountant how to set them up).
You can also create, edit and modify bookings from the backend.
The room page in Marina Hotel Resort Theme
Each room has its own page with a description, basic data (maximum guests, size, average and weekend price), a services list, similar rooms from the same branch and a free content block for a video, map or gallery. The content is edited with the page builder. If you do not want the built-in booking system, you can link the room to Booking.com, Airbnb or Tripadvisor with a link that passes check-in date, check-out date and number of guests. There is also a user account with optional login and registration, and a developer mode to test bookings and PayPal payments without real money.
