A course that sells and a classroom that won't organize itself are two different problems
Setting up an online academy often starts with a nice theme and a course plugin that don't talk to each other: design goes one way, students another and payments a third. As the catalog grows, each patch adds one more piece to maintain. Masterstudy tries to avoid that: it is a theme designed from the start as a learning platform, with the MasterStudy Pro plugin already included.
Whoever installs this is usually in one of two businesses: teaching (coach, tutor, language school, private school) or intermediating (a course marketplace where other instructors publish). They are different businesses and you should know which one you are in before choosing a demo, because the second needs author payouts and the first mostly needs an orderly curriculum.
The Masterstudy course builder follows the order in which a teacher thinks
Creating a course goes step by step: basic information, curriculum, lesson type, drip content, properties, external files and pricing (one-time payment or membership). That saves you from hunting for where each thing is configured.
- Lessons and exams: the curriculum supports different content types, plus quizzes.
- Drip content: you release material gradually.
- Certificates: a drag and drop builder with images, several fonts and savable templates. You can apply it to the whole site or to a specific category.
- Zoom and live streaming: Zoom video conferencing works as one more lesson type, and there is also live streaming where students can ask questions.
- SCORM: if you already produce content with tools such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline, you can upload it and sell it from the LMS.
Community with BuddyPress and editing with a page builder
Community features depend on BuddyPress, which is a separate plugin you will have to install and maintain. Visual page editing relies on Elementor and Visual Composer; if you have never used a page builder, expect a learning curve. Also, check the student flow in the demo before choosing a design.

Choose demos by the type of school, not by color
The theme offers 16 demos with nearly unlimited design options: colors of your choice and a wide collection of Google Fonts. It is compatible with Elementor and adapts to mobile and tablet. Before importing, decide whether your project is closer to a Udemy-style marketplace, an academy with few courses or a center with live classes, and start from the closest demo. Changing structure halfway costs more than adjusting colors and fonts.
