About Membershiply

Your community is private, your front page can't be

Building a membership site usually starts with the hard parts (tiers, payments, restricted content) and leaves for last the only thing visitors see before signing up: the public page. Someone who isn't a member yet can't look inside, so they judge by the front page, the blog and the overall look. Membershiply is a theme built for that storefront: it organizes your shop window and lets you adapt it to your brand without coding.

It's worth being clear from the start: it is a theme, and what it defines is the design. Private areas, access levels and recurring payments have to come from a separate membership plugin that you will choose.

From the imported demo to a front page with your brand, step by step

This is the typical path for someone launching a community who wants a presentable site as soon as possible:

  • Import a starting design. If you don't want to design from scratch, the theme lets you import the demo content with one click and edit it afterwards with your own text.
  • Set your identity. Change the logo, title and tagline so the first thing people read is your proposition, not the example's.
  • Write your call to action. The header accepts its own text and button: it's the natural place to invite people to join. If it gets in the way on mobile, you can hide the button and the tagline too.
  • Adjust colors and fonts. All of them can be customized, so the site looks like your brand and not like a template.
  • Set the front page apart from the rest. You can show the header only on the home page, and the same for the upper widgets, leaving inner pages cleaner.
  • Clean up the blog. Hide the sidebar and the author name in the post list, and remove the words "Tag", "Author" or "Category" from archive titles.
  • Finish the details. Replace the copyright text, enable the scroll-to-top button and use the full-width page template where you want more room.

That takes care of the public side. The next step, protecting content and charging for it, no longer depends on the theme.

Questions about Membershiply before installing it

Does it include registration, login or restricted content?

That is not what the theme offers. It handles the look of the site; for member access you need a membership plugin suited to your project.

Is it ready for other languages?

Yes, it is translation ready.

Can I use it on more than one site?

It supports multiple websites, for example if you run more than one community.

Does it come with design variants?

Besides the main theme, there are two child themes. Check the demo to see which one is closest to what you want.

Elementor for the pages the template doesn't cover

Membershiply is compatible with Elementor, so you can build specific pages (a sales page, a members' FAQ) without relying only on the imported front page. Before deciding, check in the demo how your content fits the full-width template and the header.
