About Monkki – Oriental Buddhist Temple Elementor Pro Template
A Buddhist temple with a generic template website loses exactly what makes it different
Building a temple website usually ends in one of two ways: a corporate template with meditation photos pasted on top, or a homemade page nobody dares to touch. Monkki is an Elementor template kit with an oriental look designed for Buddhist temples, and it starts from a simple idea: people visiting a temple website are not looking for a catalog, they want to know where it is, when they can go and what atmosphere to expect.
Most temples have nobody dedicated to the website. A volunteer, a monk with little time or a relative updates it. That is why it matters that the kit is edited by drag and drop, without writing code.
What changes depending on who will handle the site
If a volunteer with no technical experience manages it
The kit is customized with Elementor's visual editor. Fonts and colors are defined in one place, and if needed they can be adjusted element by element. That way you can adapt the look to the temple without breaking the design in the process.
If the temple wants to explain who it is and what it offers
It includes Home, About, Services, Prices and Contact pages, plus a specific page called Temple. You can rearrange the text with your real content.
If it also wants to sell or receive contributions
The kit includes templates for the products archive, single product, cart, checkout, My Account and purchase summary. The shop runs on WooCommerce, which is optional and only needed if you want that part.
The templates it includes and what they are for
- Main pages: Home, About, Prices, Services, Contact and Temple.
- Status pages: Coming Soon and 404.
- Blog: archive, single post and two post grids.
- Shop: products archive, single product, cart, checkout, My Account and purchase summary.
- Global elements: header, footer and a header popup.
The design is built to load lightly and to work with most themes compatible with Elementor. It is optimized for the free Hello Elementor theme.
Part of the templates need Elementor Pro
This point avoids returns: Monkki is not a theme, it is design content for Elementor. Some templates and features require Elementor Pro with all widgets, and Pro is not included in the kit. Do not expect the full result shown in the demo without Pro. With Pro you also edit headers and footers from the Theme Builder.
The demo images come from Envato Elements and are not free to use: you will need to license them or replace them with your own photos of the temple, which usually looks better than any stock image anyway.
Frequently asked questions
Is it a theme I install directly?
No. It is a template kit that you import into Elementor. You need a compatible theme, and Hello Elementor is recommended.
Can I use it without knowing how to code?
Yes, everything is edited with the visual drag and drop builder.
Does it work for a temple shop?
It includes the shop templates, but you need WooCommerce and, for some parts, Elementor Pro.
Can I change colors and typography?
Yes, they are defined globally and you can also tweak each element.
Is it only for Buddhist temples?
The design is oriental, but the text and images are yours. Check in the demo whether the style fits your case.
