About Nal – Creative Portfolio WordPress Theme
Nal: the portfolio almost nobody finishes building
Designers, photographers and studios often leave their portfolio for when there is a gap, and that gap never comes: they spend weeks choosing a layout while new work stays unpublished. Nal starts from ready-made demo sites so you begin by replacing content instead of designing from scratch.
In this field a portfolio is judged by the work, not the theme. A creative theme only does its job if it steps aside and lets your projects speak, so it is worth judging it by how easily it lets you show your own pieces, not by how good it looks with the demo photos.
Skins and demos you import with one click
Nal includes design skins and pre-made demo sites. With one click you import the demo setup: theme settings, content, menus and widgets, just as they appear in the example. If you build sites for clients, you start from a coherent base and adapt it instead of building every project from zero.
Customizing with the visual editor and the Customizer
You can adjust the theme with elements and theme parts from a visual editor, and the general options are managed with Kirki Customizer. It is a lightweight theme, made for people who are starting out and do not want to touch code.
- Parallax and video background for covers with presence.
- More than 800 Google Fonts to give titles personality.
- FontAwesome icons for services, contact or social links.
- Responsive design built on Bootstrap, so the portfolio displays well on mobile.
- Elementor support, if you prefer to lay out pages with that page builder.
- Child theme included, so you can make your own changes without losing them.
The demo images are not in the package
This is the first thing that surprises people: when you import a demo you get the structure, but not the photos and illustrations that make it look so good. You will have to add your own material, and it is wise to test how it looks with your real projects before deciding. Here is what comes already solved and what is up to you:
- Solved: demo structure, menus, widgets and theme settings through the one-click import.
- You provide: the images and illustrations, and the texts for your projects.
- Separate plugin: the theme is compatible with WooCommerce, but a shop requires installing that plugin and setting it up.
- Separate plugin: it is compatible with Yoast SEO and Jetpack, which you will need to install if you want them.
- Your job: the theme is ready for translation, but translating the texts is not done for you.
Frequently asked questions about Nal
Are the demo photos imported too?
No. The images and illustrations in the demos are not part of what you download, so the imported site will need your own material.
Is it suitable if I have never built a website?
It is made for beginners: it is lightweight, customized with a visual editor and lets you start from a finished demo. Even so, set aside time to review each imported page.
Can I sell with Nal?
It is compatible with WooCommerce, but you will have to install the plugin and build the shop. Check the demos to see whether there is a shop layout that suits you.
Does it work with Elementor?
It includes Elementor support. Look at the demo to see which parts of the design rely on it, so you know how much you will be able to modify.
Can I translate it into my language?
Yes, it is ready for translation, so you can adapt it to the language of your site.
