A WooCommerce store that already writes to its customers with Newsletter
If you sell with WooCommerce, you have an order list with email addresses, but that is not a list you can write to. The purchase ends, the customer leaves and you have no channel to talk to them again. This add-on moves that decision to the moment of payment.
You need the Newsletter plugin installed: Newsletter WooCommerce Addon does not work on its own, it is the piece that connects that plugin to your store. If you work with another email tool, it is not for you. It handles three things: subscribing customers, segmenting them by what they buy and bringing products into your newsletters. If you are looking for anything beyond that, check in the demo whether it covers it.
A list based on what they bought, not one list for everyone
Someone who buys from a category is telling you what interests them. Sending them the same newsletter as everyone else wastes that information. With Newsletter WooCommerce Addon you assign each customer to a specific list according to the product they buy or the category it belongs to.

- Afterwards you can run campaigns aimed at each segment.
The better organized your catalog is into categories, the better the rules will work. If everything hangs from a single category, segmentation will give you nothing.
The checkout checkbox: who signs up and how they confirm
You can automatically subscribe every customer who pays, or add a confirmation button so each person decides whether to join your list. It accepts custom text, which is useful for clearly explaining how their data will be used. What you write there and how you set it up is your responsibility: the plugin does not guarantee compliance with privacy regulations by itself.
You can also set up an automatic confirmation email sent after each subscription, so the customer verifies they want to be on the list.
Newsletter WooCommerce Addon as a shop window inside the newsletter
It includes a block for the Newsletter composer that pulls products from your catalog by categories or tags. Each product appears with a title, description, picture and an add to cart button. You can use one block or several in the same email, for example one for new arrivals and another for a specific category.
It also works with Newsletter's automated newsletters: with the included theme or with the selective extraction block, you can send emails featuring the latest items in your catalog without building them by hand each time.

No. It is a Newsletter add-on and needs that plugin to work.
Can I let the customer decide whether to subscribe?
Yes, with a confirmation button at checkout and custom text. You can also subscribe everyone automatically.
Can I send products to a specific list?
Yes. You segment with rules by product or category, and the composer block pulls products by categories or tags.
