About OptimizePress Dashboard
The piece that builds nothing and without which the rest does not run
Worth clearing up first, because the name misleads and it is the commonest confusion with this product: the OptimizePress dashboard is not the page builder. Nothing is dragged with it and no landing page gets designed. It is the suite's control centre.
It is the piece where the licence, the integrations and the templates live, and from where the other OptimizePress 3 components are installed.
What it manages
- The account and the licence, connecting the installation to your OP3 account.
- The integrations, email services above all, configured once and then available to every page.
- The templates, which is what the builder draws on when you start a page.
- Installing the other components of the suite, from the admin itself.
What the suite it belongs to actually is
OptimizePress is a set of WordPress plugins aimed at selling training and information products. The builder produces sales and opt-in pages from a large template library, the funnels chain those pages together and measure what happens at each step, the payment module takes card and PayPal and handles order bumps and follow-up offers, and the membership module protects courses and private areas.
The dashboard does none of that. It is where everything gets plugged in.
When it makes sense and when it does not
It makes sense if you are going to set up the full suite, or already have it and need its configuration centre.
It makes no sense if what you want is a page builder: that is a different component. Nor if your site already runs on Elementor, Divi or Gutenberg and what you want is a single sales page template, because you would be putting a whole second infrastructure on top of the one you have.
Who it is for
Trainers, coaches and information product sellers working with the OptimizePress suite, and WordPress sites where lead capture, selling and the members area are all run from that same system.
Frequently asked questions
Can I create pages with this?
No. Page design is done by the OptimizePress builder, a different component. This is the settings panel.
What is it for, then?
For managing licence, integrations and templates, and for installing the suite's other plugins.
Does it need an OptimizePress account?
Yes, the dashboard links to the OP3 account for licences and templates.
Does it work alongside Elementor or Divi?
Technically they coexist, but mixing two building systems on one site complicates maintenance. Better to pick one.
