About Patrios
Your real home page is each campaign page
Building a crowdfunding platform often ends in two problems: campaigns that look like products in any online shop, and visitors who want to back a project but don't know where to click. Patrios is a theme designed for that kind of site, with campaigns, rewards and pledges at the centre.
What Patrios lets you adjust in campaigns and categories
The settings are handled from the WordPress Customizer, without touching code:
- Left thumbnail: on a campaign page you can turn on or off whether the main image sits on the left side.
- Reward button text: the button that adds a reward to the campaign shows the text you choose.
- Quantity button text: the same for the button backers use to set the amount they want to pledge.
- Crowdfunding category pages: you can show or hide the campaign category, the author, the title and the progress bar, and decide the order, the sorting criterion and how many campaigns appear per page.
- Shop settings: there are also switches for the author name, the category, the sub header banner and the short description.
That said, these are display settings: they change what is shown and on which side, they don't rebuild the page layout. If you need a very different campaign layout, the theme is not a page builder. And for campaigns to exist, Patrios depends on its Patrios Core plugin.
Common questions before choosing Patrios
Is it useful for anything other than crowdfunding?
It is aimed at campaigns, rewards and pledges. For a blog or a corporate site there are simpler options.
Can I change the button texts without extra plugins?
Yes, the reward button and quantity button texts are edited in the campaign settings of the Customizer.
Can I hide the author of each campaign?
Yes, both the crowdfunding category pages and the shop settings have a switch for the author.
What should I check in the demo?
Look at how a campaign page, the back button and the category listing turn out. If you need a specific payment gateway, test it before deciding.
Patrios Core has to come along from day one
The theme comes with Patrios Core, a plugin that is part of how the site works. Install both together and review the result with a test campaign: the individual page, the back button, the quantity and the category listing. If what you see on that campaign is what you want your visitors to see, the rest of the site can be adjusted on that base.
