About Peepso Core
If you already have an audience and don't want to keep renting its attention
You post on a social network and only a fraction of your followers see it. If you set up the group on a hosted platform, the fee rises as it grows. And if the rules change, years of work can be left hanging. Peepso Core turns your WordPress into your own social network for your students, customers or members.
It suits anyone who already serves an audience (a shop, an academy, a membership, a site with loyal readers) and wants those people to talk to each other on their own domain. It does not suit anyone hoping to get new traffic from scratch: your own network does not attract anyone by itself, you have to bring people in. Nor is it for anyone who wants to forget about it: it runs on your hosting, and moderation, groups and atmosphere are up to you.
Peepso Core: profiles, activity stream and groups without leaving your site
The idea is that your users find what they expect from a social network, but with your brand and in your database:
- User profiles: full, customizable member profiles.
- Activity stream: with nested comments.
- Groups, friends and followers: part of the suite's social features.
- Notifications: live.
- Photos, albums, audio and video: available in the suite.
- Polls, hashtags, real-time chat and stories: these are also part of the PeepSo suite.
Some of these features may arrive as extensions from the same developer rather than in the core. Check in the demo which ones are active in what you are about to install.
Courses, shop or membership: each one needs its own plugin
Peepso Core does not sell courses, take payments or manage a catalogue. It connects with plugins you already run, which you must have installed:
- Learning: LearnDash, TutorLMS and MasterStudy, with course activity on the stream and groups per course.
- Commerce: WooCommerce, Dokan, Awecommerce and Easy Digital Downloads, with purchases on the stream, reviews and vendor storefronts.
- Revenue: Paid Memberships Pro to charge for access, myCred for points, Advanced Ads for campaigns and GiveWP for donations.
If you use none of them, you will have a social community with no built-in monetization. And if yours is a specific builder such as Elementor, check first how the community looks inside your pages.
What changes when profiles and messages live on your server
Every profile, post and message sits in your WordPress install. You can export, change hosts or extend with any other plugin, and no third party decides how far your posts reach. In return, performance depends on your hosting: an active community needs a server up to the job.
If you are coming from BuddyPress, BuddyBoss or Ultimate Member, the developer offers free migrator plugins that move members and content. There is also a native iOS and Android app with push notifications, but it is a service from the developer, not something you switch on from the plugin.
Questions from someone about to build their network
Can I start without a shop or courses?
Yes. You set up the social side first and add the integrations later with their plugins.
Is there a cap on members?
The product does not set one by member count. The real limit is your hosting capacity.
Do I have to migrate from another community by hand?
Not necessarily: there are migrators for BuddyPress, BuddyBoss and Ultimate Member. Make a backup first and test with a few users.
Does the community run itself?
No. You need to post, moderate and give people reasons to log in. The plugin provides the tools, not the people.
