About Plaxer – Gaming and eSports WordPress Theme
Your community lives on Discord, but sponsors look for you on Google
Building the website of a clan, a channel or an eSports team usually ends the same way: a page nobody updates, while the real community lives on Discord and social media. Yet the website is the only thing you fully control, and it is where a sponsor, a potential recruit or a new visitor looks to decide whether you are serious. Plaxer is a WordPress theme for gaming, eSports and streaming that aims to make that business card look polished without designing it from scratch.
The foundation is valid HTML5 and CSS3 code, a layout that adapts to mobile and retina screens, a structure built with SEO in mind and support for right-to-left (RTL) languages. It is also WPML compatible if your community is international.
Seven home pages and a side menu so you don't look like every other clan
The most noticeable part of a gaming theme is the home page, and here you have plenty to choose from. The pieces that matter most day to day:
- Seven home page variants.
- Advanced side menu.
- Grid gallery and masonry gallery.
- Custom portfolio pages, with no limit: they work for presenting players, projects, past tournaments or sponsors, each with its own page.
- Two blog layouts and a fullscreen blog: for news, match reports or team updates.
It also includes simple color management (handy for matching your team colors), a coming soon page, its own 404 page, a contact form with Contact Form 7 and support for YouTube, Vimeo and MP4 video.
A clan, a streamer or a news portal: three ways to use Plaxer
If you run a clan or an eSports team
Use the unlimited portfolio to give each player or division its own page, and the contact form to receive sponsorship or recruitment proposals. The coming soon page is useful to announce a launch or a tournament before everything is ready.
If you are a streamer or video creator
Support for YouTube, Vimeo and MP4 lets you bring your videos onto your own site instead of relying only on the platform. The galleries help you gather screenshots and highlights, and the fullscreen blog gives each post visual impact.
If you build a news portal or a community
With two blog variants and a structure built with SEO in mind, you have a base to publish news and guides regularly. If you are going to write a lot, check in the demo which of the two layouts reads best with long texts.
Frequently asked questions about Plaxer
Does it adapt well to mobile? Yes, it is responsive and ready for retina screens.
Can I have the website in several languages? It is WPML compatible, and it also supports languages read from right to left.
Is it suitable for a merchandise store? It is WooCommerce compatible, but the theme is mainly designed for content and brand presence. Check in the demo how a store looks before deciding.
Can I change the colors without touching code? Yes, it includes simple color management so you can match them to your team or channel.
The demo images are not in the package
The theme does not include all the images you see in the demo, so you will have to add your own: screenshots, logos and player photos. Set aside time for that, because a gaming theme depends heavily on visuals.
Its features focus on design and presentation. If you need match calendars, rankings or tournament brackets, you will have to look for a specific plugin and check that it works with the theme.
