The shipping price that appears at the end
It is the leading cause of abandoned carts, by a distance. The customer has chosen, reached the checkout, and at the last step discovers shipping costs twelve. They leave. Not because twelve is a lot, but because they were not expecting it.
This system connects your WooCommerce directly to the carriers so the real price appears calculated in the cart, using the weight and destination of that specific order.
Which carriers it works with
The big international ones (UPS, FedEx, DHL, TNT) and each country's operators: USPS, Royal Mail, Canada Post, Australia Post, PostNord, Purolator, Blue Dart, Sendle and several more. Several can be used at once from the same dashboard.
What it does besides calculating
- Prints the labels from the order, in one click, and in bulk when the day's dispatch has to be prepared.
- Gives the customer tracking, with the number and updates on their order.
- Prepares the customs paperwork for international shipments: commercial invoice and declarations.
- Covers the special options: Saturday delivery, insurance, hazardous goods.
The part you have to solve yourself
You need your own account with the carrier. This connects to your accounts, it does not resell postage. That is an advantage, because the rates are the ones you negotiated and the billing is direct, with no middleman's margin. But it means opening those accounts first and, if you have volume, negotiating them.
For a shop starting out, with few shipments a month, a postage reseller may work out cheaper and faster to set up. The point where this approach wins is when volume earns you a negotiated rate, and there the difference is large.
And on customs: the system generates the documents, but you supply the data. A wrong commodity code or an incorrect declared value holds the parcel, and that gets fixed by talking to the carrier, not to the plugin.
