About Politic – Political WordPress Theme
A political campaign lives on dates, volunteers and donations, not on a pretty website
Building a candidate's site often ends up as a home page with a photo and a biography, while the rest (agenda, supporters, donations) is scattered across external links or PDFs. Politic is designed so all of that lives in one place, with dedicated sections for events, donations, volunteers, news, galleries and biography.
A campaign website is used in peaks: before a rally, after a news story, in the final week. Visitors look for one specific thing (where is the rally, how do I sign up, how can I help) and leave if they have to hunt for it. So decide beforehand which action you want visitors to take and build the home page around it.
Politic and its Elementor base: what you can build without coding
The theme is built on Elementor, with drag-and-drop editing, and comes with its own set of blocks (add-ons) designed for the sector:
- Event and Volunteer: to publish the agenda and attract people who want to help.
- Biography and Promises: to tell who the candidate is and what they propose, in separate sections.
- Testimonials, gallery, portfolio and video popup: to show support and campaign material.
- Instagram feed, contact and Google Maps: the map supports an API key, coordinates, height, marker and style.
There are two home page versions, one page or multi page, and several blog layouts. The header is highly adjustable: full width, transparent, sticky on scroll, logo position and a top bar with social icons, menu or contact info. The footer, colors, typography and page title can also be configured. It includes demo content that imports with one click.
Maintenance, languages and forms: what comes already solved
It includes a maintenance mode, useful if you are preparing the site before announcing a candidacy. It supports language plugins such as WPML, Polylang and Loco, SEO plugins such as Yoast SEO and All in SEO, plus bbPress, BuddyPress and iThemes Security. Contact forms with Contact Form 7 and the MailChimp subscription form come included.
If your site will receive messages from supporters, volunteer details or contributions, remember that you are collecting personal data: check the rules that apply in your country on data protection and party financing before publishing the forms.
Is Politic the right decision for your campaign?
It works well if you are a candidate, a small party, a social movement, an NGO or a crowdfunding campaign and want your own site with a visual page builder. It is less suitable if you need a complex membership system with fees, or a voting or participation platform: the theme provides donation and volunteer sections, but it is not a full payment gateway. Check in the demo how the donation section works before deciding.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. It is edited with Elementor by dragging elements, and you can start from the demo content.
Which plugins does it need?
It is built on Elementor and works with the plugins from its own demo, including HT Mega and HT Politic. Install them so the sector-specific blocks work.
Can it be used for something other than politics?
The designs can be recolored and rearranged, but the promises, volunteers and biography sections make the most sense in campaigns, NGOs and movements.
Can I use another page builder?
The theme relies on Elementor. King Composer, Visual Composer and SiteOrigin are not included.
