About Product Catalog Feed Pro

If you sell with WooCommerce and advertise in more than one catalog, this is for you

Uploading products by hand to Facebook, Google Merchant or Pinterest works until you change a price or a size sells out: the ad keeps showing yesterday's data.

Product Catalog Feed Pro is for whoever runs a WooCommerce store and wants to feed catalogs on Facebook, Google Merchant, Pinterest, TikTok or Reddit, or run remarketing on Google Ads with a custom feed. It is not for you in these cases:

  • You want to measure conversions: the plugin generates catalogs, it does not install pixels or tracking events.
  • Your store is not WooCommerce.
  • You expect it to create the accounts or catalogs on each platform: you set those up and give them the feed URL.

Product Catalog Feed Pro: one feed per catalog, on your own server

Each feed is an XML file that lives on your server, with its own URL that you paste into Facebook, Google or another platform. The plugin regenerates it automatically at the interval you set, so prices and stock do not depend on you remembering to update it. You can also download any feed as XML or CSV.

From the feeds list you can edit, copy the URL, regenerate, download or delete each one. If Google Merchant is not available in your country, the custom feed format works for Google Ads remarketing campaigns.

Filters and Google Taxonomy: keep out what should not be there

Not everything you sell makes sense in an ad. You can exclude variations, decide how grouped and bundle products behave, and filter by category, product type, stock or sale.

Google Taxonomy can be set per product, per category, at plugin level or per feed. It helps when your catalog mixes very different families and one general category does not fit them all.

The data platforms ask for and WooCommerce does not include by default

Depending on the product type, Facebook and Google require or recommend fields such as size or age. The plugin adds extra fields to products and variations to fill them in:

  • Exclude a product from all feeds.
  • Set its condition, MPN or GTIN.
  • Choose its Google Taxonomy.
  • Add two extra images.
  • Replace the product URL with another one.

If you already store Google Merchant data as product attributes, you map them to the right feed field instead of retyping them. With the fallback logic, the plugin looks for the best value for each field and, if it cannot find one, tries the next option; you can uncheck options per feed.

In addition, smart tags fill custom_label_0 with recent_product (your most recent products) and top-30-days (your best sellers over the last 30 days), and you decide how many products get them. They are useful for building product sets on Facebook and product groups on Google Merchant.

Multilingual, multi-currency or branded stores: what relies on other plugins

Feeds follow your multilingual and multi-currency setup if you use WPML, Woo Multi-Currency, Currency Switcher WooCommerce Pro or Product Price Based on Countries. Dynamic and sale prices from RightPress WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing & Discounts or WooCommerce Smart Prices are also reflected in the feed.

The brand field is filled from your brands plugin, for example YITH WooCommerce Brands Add-On, Perfect WooCommerce Brands, Premmerce WooCommerce Brands or Product Brands for WooCommerce. Without one of them, that field does not come from there.

Questions before building your feeds

Does the catalog update by itself?

Yes. The plugin regenerates feeds at the interval you configure, and you can also regenerate one manually.

Can I get the feed as a file?

Yes, any feed can be downloaded as XML or CSV.

What if Google Merchant is not available in my country?

Use the Google custom feed for your remarketing campaigns on Google Ads.

Can I leave certain products out?

Yes: per product, or with filters by category, type, stock or sale.

Does it replace a pixel plugin?

No. It generates the catalogs; event tracking is a separate task.
