About Psylogy – Psychology And Counseling Responsive WordPress Theme
A practice that is decided before the first call
Someone looking for a psychologist has usually spent weeks thinking about reaching out, and your website decides whether that step feels small or huge. If they find a wall of text, an endless form or no idea when you see clients, they close the tab and put it off for another week. Psylogy is a theme for psychology, therapy and coaching practices built on that reality: it puts in plain view who you are, what you help with, when you see clients and how to get in touch.
Its demo comes with the pages already built so you don't have to decide the structure from scratch.
Building a practice website with Psylogy, step by step
Imagine you are opening a practice for couples therapy and anxiety. This would be the natural path inside the theme.
1. Choosing the home page
There is a classic home page and another with video. The first shows the services right away (couples counseling, anxiety, anger management); a poorly chosen video can feel intrusive to someone arriving with a delicate problem. The demo texts are filler (lorem ipsum), so everything you read there has to be rewritten in your own voice.
2. Explaining services and introducing yourself
You get a services page, a team page and a doctor profile, useful for explaining your approach and training. The demo includes percentage bars (for example Life Coaching 85%). Don't publish therapeutic success figures you can't prove.
3. Making hours, pricing and questions clear
The theme includes a working hours page with a timetable, a pricing page, an FAQ page and a testimonials page. That is exactly what a hesitant patient looks for before writing. With testimonials, publish only those with express consent: in mental health, privacy is not a detail.
4. Making contact easy
There is a contact page and a make-an-appointment area in the footer. Check in the demo whether it is a simple message form or whether it manages a calendar: don't assume it books time slots.
Common questions before choosing Psylogy
- Does it work for coaching too? Yes, the demo already talks about life coaching, group therapy and online counseling. You only need to change the texts to your specialty.
- Does it have a shop? The demo includes a shop, cart, checkout and my account pages, designed for selling books or materials. If you plan to charge, check which plugin that part needs before publishing it.
- Can I have a blog? Yes, with three layouts: sidebar on the left, on the right or a grid.
- Does it handle appointments or video consultations? It is a design theme, not a scheduling tool. For calendar bookings or video calls you will need a separate plugin.
What to clean out of the Psylogy demo before going live
The demo mixes content from other sectors: marketing and SEO articles, business projects, a sample address and phone number, products with prices. If you leave it, your practice will look like a half-filled template.
Pay attention to the completed cases section: in psychology, don't publish real cases that could identify anyone. Replace it with educational articles, training or areas of work, or remove it.
