About Rare WordPress Theme
Your own website is the project that always goes to the back of the queue
Building the website of an agency or a creative portfolio usually ends the same way: client projects eat up the hours, your own site is left as a half-finished template, and the work it shows is two years old. Visitors judge your taste by that page, not by what you promise in an email.
Rare WordPress Theme is a multipurpose theme with a creative agency and portfolio feel, designed for building pages by dragging blocks, without writing code. What makes it useful here is that it comes with many visual elements already made, so your time goes into deciding what to show and not into programming how it looks.
From an empty install to a published portfolio, step by step
Step 1: choose the editor you already work with
Rare integrates with Elementor, with the WordPress block editor and with WPBakery. If your team is comfortable with one of them, it doesn't have to learn another. Keep in mind: the theme provides the design base and the elements, but you handle day-to-day editing with the builder you choose.
Step 2: build the homepage with the elements that come ready
The theme includes more than 150 elements of its own, so you don't need external plugins for most sections. For an agency, these are the ones that give the most value:
- Team and timeline
- Interactive banners, flip boxes and info boxes
- Counters, price boxes and countdown timer
Slider Revolution comes integrated, with customizable transitions and effects.
Step 3: show your work
This is where a portfolio is won or lost. You have galleries, advanced carousels and overlay effects on rows to present each project. Before you decide, check in the demo whether projects are managed as posts you can filter by category or as pages you lay out one by one; with twenty works the difference shows.
Step 4: contact, languages and shop
For contact you have Contact Form 7, which handles several forms and lets you customize the email you receive. If you need the site in several languages, the theme is designed to work with WPML, which is a separate plugin with its own setup. And if you want to sell, WooCommerce works as the shop: Rare provides the look, but you set up products, payments and taxes yourself.
Questions to ask before choosing Rare WordPress Theme
Is it only for agencies? The starting design is about agencies and portfolios, but since it is multipurpose you can adapt it to other businesses with their own content.
Do I need to know how to code? Not to build pages: you drag blocks and widgets, upload your content and publish.
Does it look good on mobile? It is responsive and adjusts to any screen without hiding elements. Still, check your own images and text on mobile before publishing.
Can I change the typography? Yes, there is a Google Fonts manager with hundreds of fonts and a Customizer to adjust the overall look of the site.
Do I have to install a plugin for each element? No, the elements come with the theme itself. You will need a separate plugin if you add languages.
When Rare WordPress Theme falls short
If you want a one-of-a-kind design custom-made by a studio, this theme won't replace it: it starts from an already defined look and you adapt it. And with so many elements, the temptation is to use them all on the homepage. A portfolio convinces more by what you leave out than by what you animate.
It fits best if you are a small studio, a freelancer or a team without a developer and you want a presentable website of your own that anyone on your team can edit with the builder they already know.
