- SpeechSynthesis (Web Speech API): uses the voice built into the browser, with no need to sign up for any cloud service. You can set language, voice, pitch, rate and volume.
- Amazon Polly: lets you choose the AWS region, voice, standard or neural engine, language code, lexicons, output format (mp3 or ogg_vorbis), sample rate and plain text or SSML.
- Google Text-to-Speech AI: offers audio encoding, speaking rate, pitch, volume gain, effects profile, language and voice name.
- Azure Text to speech: is configured with region, a user agent to identify the requests and output format, which determines the quality and size of the files.
- ElevenLabs: the voice is chosen through its identifier, among other options specific to the service.
If you hesitate between them, Polly with the neural engine is the option the plugin itself recommends for getting the most natural voice possible.
