About SANDYWP – Apps Landing Page WordPress Theme
An app without its own website depends on its store listing
Launching an app and relying only on its App Store or Google Play listing means competing with thousands of similar results, with no control over how your product is presented. Your own page gives you a place to explain the app your way, show screenshots and guide every visitor toward the download. SANDYWP is built for exactly that: promoting an app, a mobile game or any software product presented on a single page.
The person installing this is usually an independent developer, a small studio or a startup that already has the product and needs a credible introduction. That's why it's better to have a few well-ordered sections than to fill space for the sake of it.
How to build the SANDYWP page without touching code
The theme ships with a single layout with many sections and a drag and drop section builder. You don't need to code to customize it.
- Two home page versions and four header or slider versions: they let you choose how the page opens, with a fullscreen image background if you prefer.
- Theme options with Redux: unlimited colors, unlimited Google Fonts and a custom CSS field for small tweaks.
- Sticky logo and one-page menu: the menu accepts custom URLs and you can assign your own ID to each section to link to it directly.
- Icons: more than 600 Font Awesome icons and a set of stroke vector icons.
A simple blog to accompany the launch
Besides the landing page, SANDYWP includes a blog with three layouts (full width, left sidebar or right sidebar) and the option to switch posts to a grid. It isn't a theme designed for a large blog: the app page is the star.
It is built with the Bootstrap framework, is responsive on phones and tablets, has SEO-friendly code and W3C valid HTML. It is translation ready (with .pot files), child theme compatible (an example child theme is included) and lets you import the demo data with one click.
What you need to know before choosing SANDYWP
This is a single-design theme: you can change sections, colors and fonts, but don't expect a catalog of different demos for various industries. If you need a site with several service pages, a store or bookings, this isn't the way to go. The demo images are for display only and are not part of the theme, so you'll have to prepare your own screenshots, logo and copy.
Is it useful for anything other than an app?
It is aimed at apps and mobile games, although its one-page structure with sections also suits any software product presented that way.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The section builder and the theme options cover the usual customization. Custom CSS is there for anyone who wants to fine-tune further.
Can I get the site looking like the demo from the start?
Yes, with the demo data importer, which loads the sample content. Then you replace the text and images with your own.
Can I use it in my language?
Yes, it is translation ready and includes the .pot files you need.
Does it include the design mockups?
The theme's history records the addition of the PSD mockups used in the design, but check that they come in your package before counting on them.
