Admissions in one Excel file, fees in another, attendance on paper and notices to parents sent over WhatsApp. Every piece of data sits somewhere different, and when a parent asks whether their child owes a fee or what grade they got, someone has to go and look. School Management Education And Learning brings all of that into WordPress, with an admin dashboard and dedicated dashboards for students and parents.
The practical truth of an educational institution is that management breaks down in the handovers: from the front office to accounting, from teacher to principal, from family to administration.
What School Management covers, depending on who uses it
Principals and front office
You can add several schools, each with its own administrators and classes, and create academic sessions while keeping the previous ones. Inside each school you organize classes, sections, subjects and timetables (with a printable version). Student admission includes login details for parents, and afterwards you can promote or transfer students, print ID cards and generate certificates.
Accounting and reception
Fees are handled with fee types, printable invoices, a per-student report, payment history and receipts. There is also income and expense tracking. To collect online it supports gateways such as PayPal, Stripe, Pesapal, Paystack, Razorpay, PayTM, SSL Commerz, bank transfer or UPI, among others. Inquiries from prospective students are logged with an inquiry form.
Teachers and library
Teachers take attendance, print sheets, upload study materials and enter exam results. Exams support admit cards. The library lets you register books and keep track of those that have been issued.
Students and families
Each student has a dashboard with invoices, payment history, materials, noticeboard, class and exam timetables, admit card, results, certificates and attendance. Parents have their own dashboard.
Recorded classes, videos and SMS alerts
The online learning module lets you upload recorded classes by subject, YouTube videos and documents in PDF, PNG and JPG formats. It is a content repository to browse, not a tool meant to replace a course platform with its own learning paths and assessments.
For alerts, you can set up email and SMS templates, with gateways such as Twilio, Nexmo, TextLocal, Msg91 and many others, several of them regional. Check that yours is on the list before betting on SMS.
It needs external gateways and accounts to collect payments and send SMS
The plugin does not charge or send messages on its own: you have to sign up for and configure the payment gateway or SMS provider, and each has its own terms. Also, since it involves minors' data (grades, attendance, family details), it is worth defining roles and who accesses what before opening the dashboards to families.
