About Share-one-Drive OneDrive plugin
Your files already live in OneDrive, and duplicating them in WordPress is a double problem
Uploading to WordPress the same manuals, price lists or photos you already keep in OneDrive means two copies, two places to update and, sooner or later, an old version left online. Share-one-Drive avoids that duplication: it shows folders from OneDrive Personal, OneDrive Business or SharePoint libraries on your pages, and the files stay in Microsoft.
If you change something in the cloud, the change appears on your site on the next page load. For anyone who manages documentation that changes often, that is the real value: you stop being the person who uploads files by hand.
How each type of buyer uses Share-one-Drive
If you are building a client area
Each client has a private folder in OneDrive where they can view, download and upload documents without seeing anyone else's. You can link one user to several folders (invoices, contracts, deliverables), assign them by hand or let the plugin do it when someone signs up.
If you publish a download center
Catalogs, price lists, manuals or software come straight from OneDrive or SharePoint. The file browser offers grid or list view, breadcrumbs, search and drag-and-drop uploads.
If you work with photos, audio or video
A folder becomes a gallery or a responsive slider, and when you add or remove photos in the cloud the gallery reflects it. The HTML5 player supports playlists, playback speed and subtitles, and can build the playlist from the folder.
If you run an intranet or documentation
You can show SharePoint libraries and decide per module which users and roles can view, download, upload, rename or delete.
Less load on your server and previews without downloads
Because files are not copied to your hosting, you save disk space and bandwidth: visitors download from Microsoft's servers. Uploads go straight from the visitor's device to OneDrive or SharePoint, so your server's maximum upload size does not limit you.
- In-page preview: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and images open in a viewer or lightbox without downloading anything.
- Shortcode builder: you pick a mode, the folder, and adjust the look with on-screen controls, no code.
- Alerts and reports: email when someone downloads, uploads or deletes, and a log of previews, downloads, streams and uploads, with optional sending to Google Analytics.
It fits with Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, WooCommerce and ACF
You can add the modules from Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi or WPBakery. With WooCommerce you serve digital downloads from OneDrive or SharePoint and, with the upload integration, let customers attach documents to their order in a specific folder. You can also pick cloud files and folders as ACF fields. To combine the upload box with forms you need one of the compatible form plugins.
What it is not and what to keep in mind
A heads-up: the plugin depends on your Microsoft account, and if you lose access or change accounts, the site loses its files. Nor is it a paid download store on its own; to charge you need WooCommerce.
Frequently asked questions about Share-one-Drive
Does it copy my files to WordPress?
No. They stay in OneDrive or SharePoint and the plugin manages them from there.
Do I need to know how to code?
No, the shortcode builder and the editor buttons cover normal use.
Can I see it before deciding?
Yes: check in the demo how the file browser, gallery and upload box behave, and whether they fit your design.
