About ShopMagic Manual Actions
The messages no automation saw coming
A store's automations cover the predictable: order received, order shipped, abandoned cart. But the moments to write to a customer rarely announce themselves: a product is back in stock, you want to get back in touch with people who bought something three months ago, or you have a notice for a specific group. With no trigger to set it off, you end up copying addresses from orders by hand or exporting them to another tool just to send one email.
ShopMagic Manual Actions is a ShopMagic PRO add-on built for those moments: you write the email, choose who receives it and send it, all from WooCommerce.
Write to specific customers or to a whole list
The add-on works equally well for a personalized message to a few customers and for a mass mailing, such as a newsletter or a general notification.
- You can reach people who bought a particular product some time ago, for example for a reorder or a follow-up.
- You can send the test email or preview the action before launching it, which is welcome when the recipient is an entire list.
- Email templates can be adjusted with ShopMagic filters.
Send now, schedule, or add other actions
Sending can be immediate, like from your own mailbox, or delayed if you have the Delayed Actions add-on installed, which holds the email back by minutes, hours, days or weeks. It is a separate add-on within ShopMagic PRO and does not come with Manual Actions.
Besides sending emails, it can run other ShopMagic actions in the same process. One example is adding the addresses to the ShopMagic email list so they are available later. If you need to take order data to a spreadsheet, there is the Google Sheets add-on, and Manual Actions is compatible with ShopMagic add-ons, both free and paid.
Is ShopMagic Manual Actions enough, or do you need more?
It is an add-on, not a standalone plugin: it needs ShopMagic and is part of ShopMagic PRO. Nor is it a bulk order manager: what it does is send emails and run ShopMagic actions by hand. If you want to change order statuses in bulk or edit customer data, that is not its job. And for marketing mailings, make sure you have those customers' permission to write to them.
Does it work without ShopMagic?
No. It is a ShopMagic add-on.
Can I schedule the send for later?
Yes, with the Delayed Actions add-on from ShopMagic PRO. Without it, sending is immediate.
Can I test the email before sending it to everyone?
Yes, you can send test emails or preview and run the action.
Is it useful for writing only to people who bought a specific product?
That is one of the uses the add-on is built around: reaching customers who bought a particular product months ago.
