When visitors scroll past without looking at anything
A cover with one still photo and a headline gets scanned in a blink. Anyone showing dishes, interiors or projects needs people to stop and look at several images, and a static gallery or a grid of thumbnails rarely manages that. This slider bets on motion: each slide shows a strip of images that scrolls continuously, like a roll of film.
Slider Revolution FilmStrip Add-On: a strip of images on every slide
It is a Slider Revolution template that uses the Filmstrip add-on. The idea is simple: instead of a single image per slide, you get a series that runs without stopping. That gives a lot of room to anyone working with very visual material, such as a food blog or an interior design studio.
Judging by its demo, it suits campaign covers, events or portfolios, with a headline, supporting copy and buttons that guide the visitor to act.
Speed, direction and what must be installed
- Speed and direction: the movement of the strip can be adjusted, so you can make it run slower for photos that deserve a long look or faster for a rhythmic effect.
- Quick Edit: from the Slider Revolution block itself in WordPress, you change headlines, copy, button labels and media slide by slide, without opening the editor. Layout, motion and effects stay untouched, which makes it a good way to hand the page over to a client.
- Full editor: if you want to change the motion, layout or effects, it opens with one click.
- Screen adaptation: the template is designed to look good on different devices, and if you add layers or change sizes you can preview and adjust each screen size or set your own breakpoints.
The limits are clear: it does not work on its own. It needs the Slider Revolution plugin and the Filmstrip add-on installed for the strip to move. It is also a slider built for visual impact, not a gallery with filters, categories or photo enlargement. If you want visitors to browse and search through hundreds of images, this is not the right format.
Questions from people who are going to use it
Can I change the images and texts without touching the design?
Yes. Quick Edit only shows what is editable: text layers, button labels and media. Everything else stays as the designer left it.
Does it look good on mobile?
The template is built to be responsive. Even so, if you add your own layers, check the mobile view in the editor before publishing.
Can I slow the movement down?
Yes, the speed and direction of the strip are adjustable.
Does it work on a site without Slider Revolution?
No. It is a template for that plugin and depends on it.
The demo images are placeholders: replace them before publishing
The template arrives with sample headlines, copy and images. Once it is on your page, the first step is to replace them with your own using Quick Edit. Choose photos with similar proportions, because in a continuous strip a very different image breaks the rhythm. If the template includes YouTube or Vimeo videos, remember they depend on the visitor accepting third-party video cookies; check on your page how it behaves with them turned off.
