A minimalist portfolio breaks with the first bad image
Building a portfolio with little design sounds easy, but there is a catch: when the template has no ornaments, your images and typography carry all the weight. If the theme makes you fight with margins, menus and galleries, you end up covering with effects what should stay clean. Snow starts from that idea: a sober base so that your work is the only thing people look at.
It is aimed at designers, photographers, web agencies and studios, and freelancers who need to show projects without noise around them.
Snow: portfolio styles, menus and settings that really change the result
What makes Snow useful is how it presents your work and how it lets visitors move between projects:
- More than 15 portfolio styles: they let you show the same material as a grid, a mosaic or other layouts, depending on what each project needs.
- Three navigation types: top menu, side menu and fullscreen menu.
- More than 200 options in the WordPress Customizer: with specific settings for pages, posts and works, so you don't have to treat a project the same as a blog post.
- Google Fonts typography control and a visual color changer: to adjust your identity without touching code.
- Smooth parallax on images and video: you can customize it or turn it off, and it is worth turning off if your photos are already very busy.
What you need to be clear about before choosing it
Snow is built with WPBakery Page Builder, so if you work with another builder you will have to adapt to this one. Also, the images you see in the demo are not included in the package: they are for preview only, and you will have to add your own. Nor is it a store or booking theme: it is a showcase for your work.

Integrations that save you separate plugins
Snow comes with social sharing buttons, working Twitter and Instagram feeds, and ACF Pro among its bundled components. With ACF Pro you can add custom fields to your works, for example client, year or service provided, if you want to organize your portfolio with more data than an image and a title.
If your site is just a small portfolio, you may not use half of these pieces, and that is fine: you can leave out whatever you don't need.
The demo imports with a single click
Snow includes a one-click demo importer, useful for starting from an already built site instead of an empty page. Once imported, replace the sample images with your own, check which portfolio style fits your material and decide early which menu you will use, because it shapes the rest of the design. If something doesn't convince you, the Customizer lets you tweak it without starting over.
