About Tastyc – Restaurant WordPress Theme
A menu that looks bad on a phone costs you more tables than an ugly logo
People looking for somewhere to eat open your site with a phone in hand and almost always want two things: to see the menu and to know how to book. If the menu is a PDF that needs pinch-zooming, or booking means making a call, they move on to the next place. Tastyc suits restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, bakeries, pizzerias, bistros and catering.
It is a WordPress theme with light and dark versions, a design adapted to mobile and high-resolution screens, and support for right-to-left languages such as Arabic, Hebrew or Persian.
Four ways to book a table, and it's best to stick with one
Tastyc supports reservation forms with OpenTable, MetForm and Contact Form 7, and also comes with the QuickCal plugin, an appointment calendar with hourly availability and integration with WooCommerce payments. The reservation form can also be shown in a popup window.
- OpenTable: makes sense if you already manage your tables with that external service.
- Contact Form 7 or MetForm: reservation forms.
- QuickCal: a calendar with available hours and payment through WooCommerce.
Mixing systems confuses customers and your floor staff. Decide which one the person opening the restaurant each day will really check, and keep only that one visible.
Elementor and custom widgets to build the menu without touching code
Tastyc is built with Elementor and includes more than 35 custom widgets for restaurants and cafes. The menu can be shown as a list or in tabs and is ready to work with the WooCommerce ordering system.
- Header and footer builder with Elementor, so you get the layouts you need.
- Ajax gallery with filters and zoom popups.
- Animated sliders and parallax effects.
- Sections for team, testimonials, pricing table and frequently asked questions.
- Mailchimp subscription, a grid-layout blog, and colors and Google Fonts to your taste.
- Compatible with WPML, .pot files for translating, and child themes.
It includes one-click demo import and sample content, so you start from a site that is already built and adapt it to your venue, without being a developer.
Is Tastyc right for you? What it needs and what it doesn't include
Before deciding, keep three things in mind. Tastyc is designed to work with Elementor, so it is not a theme for someone who wants another builder. The reservation calendar depends on the QuickCal plugin that comes with the theme, and OpenTable is an external service with its own way of working. And the demo photos are not included: you will need to add your own, and in a restaurant they sell the most.
Can I sell food online with it?
It includes a WooCommerce shop and the menu can be linked to its ordering system, with the payment gateways WooCommerce offers. Check in the demo how an order looks from the menu before promising online orders to your customers.
Can I run it in several languages?
Yes: it is compatible with WPML, includes translation files and supports right-to-left languages.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. It is managed from the Elementor panel and you start from a demo imported with one click.
Does it work without Elementor?
That is not what it is intended for: the menu, header, footer and custom widgets are built with Elementor.
