Service status. A page saying whether there is an incident in an area, kept current. When the fibre goes down in a neighbourhood, a hundred people pick up the phone at once to ask the same thing.
Self-diagnosis. The four steps that solve half of all faults: restart the equipment, check the lights, check the cable, try wired instead of wireless. With photographs of your equipment's lights, not generic ones.
My bill and my contract. Where to log in and what can be done there. If access lives in another system, at least make the link obvious from the homepage.
How to cancel. It sounds counterproductive and it is not. Whoever is looking for that has already decided, and hiding it only guarantees they leave angry and tell people. Besides, in most countries there is an obligation to allow cancellation through the same channel used to sign up.
And on advertising prices
This sector has its own transparency rules: the final price including tax has to be stated, along with what it becomes once the promotion ends, the minimum term and the penalties. Showing it with the same prominence as the offer avoids complaints and better filters for people who will actually sign up.
