About Theme Palace WEN Travel Pro

Your trips live in a plugin and the theme presents them

You open the demo of a travel theme, see featured trips, the latest trips and a trip filter, and assume it all comes inside. In WEN Travel Pro, those pieces need a second plugin. The trip catalog lives in WP Travel, and the theme gives it shape on the home page.

That split changes the order of work. Your packages, with their itinerary, price, duration, gallery and map, are loaded into WP Travel. The theme sections then show whatever already exists there. If you start with the design, you will end up laying out placeholder trips.

WEN Travel Pro is a Theme Palace theme for agencies, travel blogs, travel journals and tourism sites.

The sections that make up the home page

  • With WP Travel: Trip Filter, Latest Trips and Featured Trips.
  • Opening: Hero Content in simple or advanced style, Featured Slider and Promotion Headline in two versions, with a video option.
  • Offer: Latest Package, Special Offer, Services and Featured Content.
  • Trust: Testimonials, Team, Stats and a Logo Slider in classic or modern style.
  • Images: Gallery with a fluid design and Portfolio in two versions, with a destination filter.
  • Shop: dedicated sections to feature products if you activate WooCommerce.

Moving blocks without touching code

With the Sections Sorter you drag each section up or down and the home page changes order. Each module has its own page in the theme options, and it only appears once you enable it and add content.

The header is adjusted from Header Media, with overlay, logo, text and content alignment and background image. You also choose the sidebar position per page or post, apply predefined color schemes in one click and change the Google fonts. Changes are previewed in the WordPress Live Customizer.

It also includes custom page templates, breadcrumbs, child theme compatibility and translation readiness.

Where the theme ends and WP Travel begins

WEN Travel Pro does not manage bookings by itself: booking a trip, with its form on the same page, belongs to WP Travel. Payments depend on that plugin as well. Its free edition offers Standard PayPal and bank deposit, while its Pro edition adds more gateways and custom filters.

Three other functions call for separate plugins: Gallery needs Catch Gallery, infinite scrolling uses Catch Infinite Scroll and the header video on mobile requires Header Enhancement Pro. The last two are optional.

How to get the home page ready

The theme is installed from Appearance, by uploading the zip file, or by FTP into the themes folder. WooCommerce is only needed if you are going to sell products. From there, follow this order:

  1. Install WP Travel and load some real packages.
  2. Activate Catch Themes Demo Import and click Import Demo Data only once. Wait for the message That's it, all done!
  3. In Customize, Homepage Setting, choose a static page as the home page. Without this step, the custom sections do not appear.
  4. In Theme Options, turn on each module with Enable on, add its content and publish.
  5. Arrange the result with Sections Sorter.

Travel themes with a different division of work

If you sell dated seats and want availability shown on a calendar, Bexper works with the BA Book Everything engine. For active tourism, with a WooCommerce shop and a user panel, there is Advenx. You can also compare Traveltour and Tourm.

Without WP Travel, with a shop or with no sections

Can I use it without WP Travel?

Yes, for a showcase site or a travel blog. You will lose the Trip Filter, Latest Trips and Featured Trips sections, which depend on that plugin.

Can it sell products as well as trips?

It is compatible with WooCommerce, and activating it adds sections to feature products and layout options for the shop.

Can the demo be imported?

Yes, with Catch Themes Demo Import. The import button is clicked only once and the process can take a couple of minutes.

Why do I not see the sections on the home page?

You need to set a static page as the home page and turn on each module with Enable on.

Does it look right on phones?

It is responsive. Showing the header video on phones requires Header Enhancement Pro.

Can I change the order of the home page?

Yes. Sections Sorter lets you drag the sections.
