About Tickera Bridge for WooCommerce

Charging for tickets with the same store that already charges for everything else

If you already sell with WooCommerce, setting up ticket sales separately usually means another checkout process, another place to review orders and one more thing to configure. With events the mistake is costly: there is no second chance when the day arrives and someone could not buy.

Tickera Bridge for WooCommerce is the add-on that connects Tickera, the ticket-selling plugin for WordPress, with WooCommerce. Tickets are sold through your store and paid for with the payment methods you already have running in it.

There is a difference from a normal store: in a store it is enough to know who paid; at an event you need to know who is going to walk through the door. WooCommerce handles the payment and Tickera handles what comes after: the ticket with its code and each attendee's data.

Tickera Bridge for WooCommerce uses your payment methods, but it does not replace Tickera

The bridge does one specific thing: it lets any WooCommerce payment method be used to buy Tickera tickets. The rest of the work stays in Tickera:

  • Events and ticket types: unlimited events and ticket types (VIP, early bird, group, complimentary), with categories, recurring events and season passes.
  • Attendee data: custom fields at checkout to ask for exactly what your door team needs.
  • Tickets: custom PDF ticket design, with a QR or barcode.
  • Taxes, coupons and discounts: Tickera supports them; check in the demo how they behave inside the WooCommerce cart.

It is an add-on, not a standalone plugin

It needs both Tickera and WooCommerce installed. On its own it does not create events or tickets.

Tickera's gateways and WooCommerce's gateways

Tickera comes with its own payment gateways; the bridge lets you use WooCommerce's. If you rely on another Tickera feature, such as seating charts, check in the demo that it works with the WooCommerce cart before planning your sales around it.

Questions before crossing the bridge

Does it work without Tickera?

No. It is a bridge between two plugins and needs both.

Can I use the gateway I already have in WooCommerce?

Yes, that is its whole purpose: any WooCommerce payment method can charge for tickets.

How do attendees get in on the day of the event?

With the ticket's QR or barcode, read with Tickera's check-in apps (Checkinera), available for iOS, Android and web. They work offline and allow several scanners at once.

Is it worth it if I only run one event a year?

It depends on your store. If you already sell with WooCommerce, you avoid building a parallel checkout. If you have no store and only want to sell tickets, Tickera with its included gateways may be enough, so you would not need to install WooCommerce just for this.

The event door and the attendee list are still Tickera's job

Even though payment happens in WooCommerce, access control does not change. The check-in apps work without coverage, which is useful in venues with a poor signal, and sync when the connection returns. Buyer and attendee data lives on your own WordPress, and you can export it to CSV for accounting, email or your CRM.

Make a test purchase of every ticket type before opening sales

Because two plugins are involved, a fault shows up late if you do not test. Before announcing the event, go through this:

  • Buy one ticket of each type with a real payment method from your store.
  • Check that the ticket arrives with its code and that the attendee fields appear at checkout.
  • Scan it with the check-in app from a phone.
  • If you use coupons or taxes, repeat the purchase with them and review the total.

That way you find a pending adjustment in good time, not when people are already waiting at the door.
