About Titan Anti-spam & Security Pro (Premium)
Moderating junk every day and watching bots guess passwords
When you run your own WordPress site, security is rarely a movie-style attack. It is a comment inbox full of absurd links and a login form that someone keeps hitting with random passwords. Titan Anti-spam & Security Pro goes after those two nuisances and a handful of configuration oversights, without pretending to be a complete security suite.
Its approach is modular: each module works on its own, you turn it on or off whenever you like, and it does nothing you have not enabled. It asks for no external accounts and its activity is recorded on your own site.
Titan Anti-spam & Security Pro: four base modules and four Pro modules
- Comment spam: evaluates every comment before it is saved, with no CAPTCHA and no hassle for real visitors. Spam can be deleted right away or kept for a while so you can review it.
- Login protection: configurable retry limits, lockout duration and reset interval, with a local log of every attempt. It supports allowlists and blocklists by IP and by username, and a GDPR mode that applies the limits without storing IP addresses.
- Hardening: detects settings that expose details such as the version or enable features you may not use, and lets you disable them one by one and reversibly.
- Security audit: reviews your configuration and shows the problems with a direct link to fix them.
What the Pro side adds
More control over who gets in
Two-factor authentication uses TOTP codes and works with apps such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
Recovering and finding out in time
Backups are scheduled with retention control and can go to local storage, FTP or Dropbox. Vulnerability tracking watches the plugins and themes you have installed and leaves alerts in the dashboard. The spam filter also gains machine learning analysis, and you can show a privacy notice under comment forms.
There is no firewall or malware scanning among its modules
Titan focuses on spam, login access, configuration and visibility. Before installing it, look at what stays on your side:
- Titan handles it: comment spam, login attempt limits, closing settings that expose information, two-factor verification, scheduled backups and vulnerability alerts.
- You cover it with another tool: a firewall or a file scan for malware, which are not among its modules.
- You do it: updating or replacing the plugin or theme flagged when an alert appears.
- You check it: whether your contact form receives spam, by testing it on a staging site.
- You decide it: where to store the backups. If you keep them on the same server, a failure of that server takes them down too.
Common questions before installing it
Does it slow down the site?
The filters and login checks are lightweight and run inside WordPress, with no visible overhead.
Does it send my data to external servers?
No. Login attempts and security data are stored on your server.
Can I enable only the spam filter?
Yes. Each module is independent: you can turn on one, several or all of them.
Does it make me GDPR compliant?
It offers a mode that limits attempts without storing IP addresses and a privacy notice under comments, but compliance depends on how you use the rest of your site.
