About TravelTour Travel and Tour Booking Theme
An empty departure can't be recovered
Building a tour website often ends in a nice page with a contact form, and every booking turns into a chain of emails: how many adults, how many children, which day, how much to pay. Meanwhile, tomorrow's departure still has free seats.
A tour is a product that expires: if the date passes unsold, that income doesn't come back. That's why an operator's bottleneck isn't design, but charging for each seat correctly and quickly, with the right price for each type of traveler. TravelTour is a theme built for that job: it carries the tour system inside, with tour types, rates, bookings and payments.
From the tour listing to the final rate: a walkthrough with TravelTour
Imagine you run city excursions and sailboat rentals. This is what you do, step by step:
- You create the tour. You define it as a one-day or multi-day excursion, and as a single or recurring departure. That way the same theme works for an afternoon walk and for a trip lasting several days.
- You set the price. You can set a fixed price per person or a variable one with different rates for adults, children, students and infants. If the tour depends on the number of hotel rooms, there is also room-based pricing.
- You adjust for the season. You can create different prices depending on the period, useful if August and February don't sell alike.
- You prepare discounts. Coupons support an amount, an expiration date and a discount as a percentage or a fixed amount.
What the customer sees when searching for a date and paying
Visitors search by keyword, destination, duration, travel date and minimum and maximum price. There is also a destination listing by tour category and ten tour list styles.
To collect payment, the theme supports PayPal, card through Stripe or Authorize.net, WooCommerce payments and bank transfer. One specific limit: deposits are not supported with WooCommerce payments. If your model is to charge a deposit now and the rest later, check in the demo how it works with the payment method you plan to use.
After purchase, the customer has a dashboard where they check their bookings and their status, print invoices and receipts, save favorite tours and, once the tour is over, rate it from their account. Reviews come after the trip has been taken, not before.
Questions from people comparing TravelTour with other options
Is it only for tours, or for hotels too?
It includes accommodation features: room search, minimum stays, additional services such as airport transfers, and iCal calendar support. But its focus is the tour.
Can I enter a booking by hand?
Yes, from the admin you can add a new booking and edit orders. It's useful for those that come in by phone or in person.
Does it support several languages and currencies?
It is compatible with WPML, supports right-to-left writing and handles multiple currencies.
Can I export my transactions?
Yes, there is a CSV export of transactions, plus email notifications.
The design is built with the GoodLayers page builder
The visual side is handled with the theme's own drag-and-drop page builder, with 19 header layouts, 6 footer layouts, 14 blog layouts and font and color options. A demo importer is included so you can start from a ready-made design.
Mind your expectations: the demo images are not included in the package, so you will need your own photos of destinations and departures. And if your operation needs to limit seats per departure, check in the demo how that is handled before deciding.
