About UsersWP - MyCred
Empty profiles: what ruins a community before traffic even arrives
A member directory full of profiles with no photo and no details looks abandoned, even with hundreds of sign-ups. Registering is easy; getting people to come back and fill in their profile is the hard part. And a community lives on complete profiles long before it lives on more visitors. UsersWP - MyCred connects UsersWP with myCRED to give every member a concrete reason to complete their profile: points.
UsersWP - MyCred: points for each completed field and for the photo
You decide how many points each profile field is worth. The add-on can reward filling in fields and also adding images to the profile.
- Each field has its own point amount, which can be positive or negative (give or take).
- A field set to zero points is disabled and triggers nothing.
Practical tip: don't set the same amount on everything. If all fields are worth the same, people fill in the easy ones and skip exactly the ones you care about.
Points visible on the profile and transferable between members
Each user's points are visible on their profile. You can also add a dedicated tab from the UsersWP Form Builder to show the points awarded. That tab can be visible to everyone or only to the profile owner, and you can also let each user decide whether to show it.
Members can transfer points to each other: on another person's profile a transfer points button appears, and a modal window asks how many. The add-on is fully translatable.

Directory or member network
If your site's value lies in people finding each other, points for a photo and key details push members to complete exactly what other visitors look at first.
Site where privacy matters
With the tab visible only to the owner, or with the option for each user to decide, you don't force anyone to show off their balance.
Frequently asked questions
Can I give points for reviews or for sharing content on social media?
Not with this add-on: it only scores profile completion and profile images. To reward comments or reviews you would have to rely on whatever myCRED offers by itself, and sharing messages on social networks would require another plugin.
Can points be taken away?
Yes, the amount set per field can be to give or to take.
Does everyone see everyone's points?
It depends on how you configure the tab: visible to everyone, only to the owner, or at the user's choice.
Can I disable a field?
Yes: leave it at zero points and it won't be rewarded.
It needs myCRED and UsersWP installed
It is an add-on, not a standalone plugin: without the myCRED plugin and the base UsersWP plugin it has nothing to connect to. It also doesn't create points for general site activity: only for the profile.
