A campaign has a deadline, and the website is usually late
Whoever builds a candidate's website almost never has months: the election calendar rules, the team is small and nobody knows how to code. On top of that, the link is shared mostly from phones, on social media and messaging apps, and visitors want to know in a few taps who the person is, what they propose and how they can help. VisualModo – Politic Theme is a theme designed for campaign sites, candidates and elections, built by dragging blocks instead of writing code.
From first draft to published site with VisualModo – Politic Theme
This is the typical path of a campaign team, with what the theme solves at each step and where to be careful.
1. Choose the builder
Politic works with Elementor, the WordPress block editor and WPBakery, and comes with plugins such as Elementor, WPBakery, Slider Revolution, Ultimate Addons and Borderless included. Pick just one for the whole site: mixing builders across different pages makes maintenance harder when a new volunteer joins.
2. Build the home page
With more than 150 elements you can combine an interactive banner for the slogan, a stats counter for campaign figures, a timeline for the candidate's career, a team block for the people on the list, Google Maps for the offices and a countdown for an event or election day. Slider Revolution works for home pages with transitions and animations. The texts, photos and proposals are yours to provide: the theme gives you the mold, not the political platform.
3. Collect contacts
Contact Form 7 lets you create several forms and customize the content of the email, useful for volunteers, press or questions from citizens. Note: it is a contact form, not a donation system or a supporter CRM; if you need that, you will have to add another plugin. And if you store supporters' personal data, check the data protection rules that apply to you.
4. Languages and shop
If your district has more than one language, Politic integrates with WPML to translate the site. And if the campaign plans to sell merchandise, WooCommerce is integrated into the theme.
5. Check mobile before publishing
The design is responsive and adapts to any screen without hiding elements. Even so, open the home page on your phone and adjust colors and typography with the Customizer and the Google Fonts manager until it reads well in bright sun and with one hand.
Frequently asked questions about Politic
Do I need to know how to code? No. You work by dragging blocks and widgets, and uploading your texts and images.
Can I publish news and press releases? Yes, the theme includes a blog to keep the campaign up to date.
Is it useful for anything other than a campaign? The elements are general, but check in the demo whether the style fits what you want to say.
Can I accept donations with it? That is not a feature the theme provides. You would have to solve it with a specific plugin or with WooCommerce.
What you will need to provide yourself
- The proposals, biography and messages, already written and reviewed.
- Your own high-resolution photographs.
- A prior decision on the builder and on which extra plugins you need (donations, event calendar).
If you have that ready, the theme saves you the technical work and lets you focus on the message.
