Redesigning the shop without leaving the WordPress editor
The pages that actually sell in WooCommerce (product, cart, checkout) come with whatever design the theme ships, and changing them has for years meant either editing PHP templates or installing a whole visual builder on top.
WowStore, previously called ProductX, offers a third route: doing it with blocks, in the editor WordPress already includes, without adding another building system to the site.
The pages you can rebuild
- Homepage and shop page, with grids, lists, sliders and filters.
- Product page, with price, stock, variation swatches and related products.
- Cart and checkout, including the address blocks and the order summary.
- Thank you and My Account, the two almost nobody touches and the two that most build loyalty.
What it adds on top
More than fifty product-specific blocks, a hundred or so templates and a good number of design patterns ready to drop in. Plus the features expected of a well-kept shop: filters, colour and size swatches, quick view, wishlist, comparison, currency switching, preorders and partial payment.
What to be clear about first
It is a block system. If your site is built with Elementor or Divi, adding this means two design systems living together: two ways of editing, two sets of styles and twice as many places to look when something renders oddly. Not impossible, but worth deciding on purpose rather than by accumulation.
Test the whole checkout. Redesigning the checkout step pays off most and carries the most risk: that is where the money lives. After touching it, make a real purchase end to end with your gateway, with one product that ships and one that does not, and with a coupon. Half an hour that avoids learning about the bug from a customer.
