About WP All Import User Import Addon
For anyone migrating a member community, not for someone creating three accounts
Moving a list of users from another platform into WordPress often ends in accounts created by hand, membership levels lost along the way, or a file the regular importer only half processes. This add-on is built for that job.
- It fits if you have your users in a file and need to bring in more than a name and email: data from a membership plugin, fields from a theme, or any metadata.
- It doesn't fit if you only need to add a few users (by hand is faster), if you want to get users out of WordPress, or if you won't use WP All Import, because it is an add-on for it and does not work on its own.
The membership level lives in the meta, and that's where a migration fails
On a member site, the user record is not the name or the email. What matters (level, status, the plugin's own fields) is stored as metadata. A migration can look correct because the users show up in the list, and only a week later you discover everyone arrived with no level or with empty fields. Someone who pays a fee and logs into an account without their access writes to support, not waits.
That is why the value of this add-on is in the meta: it lets you import into those additional fields, not just the standard ones on the user edit screen.
What WP All Import User Import Addon does with your file

It needs WP All Import and it only imports
Without WP All Import there is nothing to run: this add-on adds users as an importable data type. It doesn't export either: getting users out of a site takes a different export add-on. And one practical caveat: a membership plugin having a field doesn't guarantee it stores it as user metadata. Run a test import with a few records and check on a profile that the level and the custom fields arrived before launching the full file.
