Every order through a delivery app takes a slice of your margin

It is the sum many restaurants do late. Delivery platforms bring orders, true, and in exchange they keep a commission on each one. In a business where the margin is already thin, that commission is the difference between a good month and an ordinary one. And there is something worse in the long run: the customer belongs to the platform, not to you. You do not have their email, you cannot tell them about the new menu or Tuesday's offer.

Ordering from your own site changes both: the whole order is yours and so is the customer. WPCafe is the piece that turns your WordPress into that channel.

What the official WPCafe licence covers

The Pro features activated, ThemeWinter's updates while the licence is current and their priority support. The GPLClub team does the activation on your domain.

What it does

• Menu with several layouts, organised by category, with variations and add-ons (sizes, extras) and their pricing.
• Online ordering with pickup or your own delivery, charging through WooCommerce and with no per-order commission.
• Table booking with floor management.
• QR code menu, which is how people order at the table from their phone.
• Live order notifications, so none get missed at peak hours.
• Multiple branches, waitlist handling and reminder emails in the Pro version.

When it pays

If you already have returning customers. They are the ones who will order directly as soon as they can: you do not need to win the whole delivery battle, keeping the orders from people who already know you is enough.

If you run several locations. Per-branch management is one of those things that, done by hand, ends in orders delivered to the wrong address.

If you open few hours and live off passing trade, the QR menu and the booking side may give you almost all the value without setting up online ordering.

A practical note: your own ordering channel works if customers know it exists. Signs in the venue, the link on your social accounts and a reminder at the till do more for that channel than any plugin setting.

About licensing and the GPL

The code is distributed under the GPL licence and its use is free. Updates, support and activation against the maker's servers are separate services contracted with them. They are not the same thing, and buying one is not buying the other.
