About WPForms Square Addon
Take payment from a form without sending customers to another page
Many small businesses and organizations collect money clumsily: an order form in one place, a payment link in another, and customers drifting away along the way. Every jump is a chance for someone to quit halfway. WPForms Square Addon connects your forms to your Square account so payment happens on the same page where the person fills in their details.
It covers three uses: taking card payments from any WordPress form, receiving donations with a donation form, and selling products or services by collecting orders.
How WPForms Square Addon works with your fields
What matters is how it combines with the rest of the form:
- Calculations: show the total before the payment is processed, and work for orders, quotes, shipping or taxes.
- Conditional logic: lets payment be processed only when certain conditions are met. It also helps you sell several products from a single page.
- Field mapping: sends form data such as the buyer's email, billing name and address to your Square account.
- Payment notifications: email alerts when a payment is processed, with customizable message and recipients.
- Form abandonment: captures partial entries from incomplete payment forms to recover lost contacts.
What happens with card data and fees
Payment data is sent directly to Square, so it is not stored on your site. That removes the risk of keeping card numbers in WordPress.
On costs: WPForms does not charge a per-transaction fee for using Square, but Square's seller fees still apply to every payment. Factor them in when setting your prices.
To get started you can use order, donation, fee, registration, membership or deposit templates.
Deciding whether Square is the gateway you need
This add-on only works inside WPForms: it is an extension of the form builder, not a standalone plugin, and you need a Square account to take payments. If your business already sells with Square in a physical store or you prefer it as a processor, it makes sense. If your customers expect to pay another way, WPForms has other payment integrations, such as Stripe or PayPal, which are separate products.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You can create and manage payment forms without knowing how to code.
Does the customer leave my page to pay?
No. With the add-on, payment happens without leaving the page they are on.
Does WPForms store card details?
No. Payment details go straight to Square.
Can I sell several products in one form?
Yes, by combining conditional logic and calculations for more complex purchase forms.
Are there fees besides Square's?
WPForms does not charge per transaction, but Square's seller fees do apply.
