About YITH FAQ for WordPress & WooCommerce Premium
Unanswered doubts are carts left half-finished
Online shoppers have nobody in front of them to ask whether the bag fits their laptop, whether they can return the wrong size or whether you ship to their country. Every doubt without a quick answer is an excuse to close the tab. And the most annoying part for a store is that the same questions keep coming up, answered again and again by email or chat.
YITH FAQ for WordPress & WooCommerce lets you write those answers once and place them where the customer needs them: on a help page, in the footer, in a sidebar or inside each product page.
How to build a question system with YITH FAQ
You create as many questions as you want and write each answer with Gutenberg blocks, so you can add text, buttons, images or icons and not just a flat paragraph.
- Categories: you group by topic (orders, shipping, returns) and visitors filter via AJAX without reloading the page. The filter has two designs, pill or minimal.
- Three list formats: simple list, toggle or accordion.
- Search and table of contents: customers type a keyword or jump with one click to the question they want.
- Copy link: you can show a “Copy link” on each question to send a specific answer to someone.
- Pagination: you show all of them with infinite scrolling or choose how many per page, and decide whether they appear open or closed.
To display them you create unlimited shortcodes or use the Gutenberg blocks, choosing which questions and how many appear in each place.
What to do depending on the type of store you have
If you sell clothing, footwear or products with sizes
Doubts repeat per product: measurements, fabric, laundry guide. Use the FAQ tab on the product page, which appears next to the usual WooCommerce tabs. You can rename it and choose the icon and its position.
If your problem is general policies
Shipping, payments, returns and refunds worry shoppers in any catalog. Build a help page with categories and search, and repeat the most critical questions in the footer with another shortcode.
If you have a large, impersonal catalog
With many questions, the table of contents and category filter prevent an endless page. Sort the questions by dragging them in the admin list.
If search ranking matters to you
Writing the questions with the real words your customers use gives your pages text that answers what people search for. It is a help, not a guarantee of rankings.
Make the style fit your store
You can change colors, icons, typography, pagination style, search and filters, and upload your own loading indicator instead of the default one. That way the section does not look like a foreign add-on to your design.
Manual ordering and WooCommerce requirements
There is no automatic sorting by date: the order is set by hand by dragging the questions. Per-product FAQs require WooCommerce; on a WordPress site without a shop you get the pages and shortcodes, but not that tab. Also, the plugin organizes and displays the answers, but writing them well is still up to you.
