Anyone selling physical products knows the problem: a customer wants to give something from your shop as a gift, but has no idea which size, color or model the other person will like, and often leaves without buying. A gift card solves that doubt, and this plugin lets you sell them inside WooCommerce without setting anything up by hand.
From the "gift card" product to the first email delivery
The process starts in your dashboard: you create the gift card product, define the amounts and upload an image. You can set a single amount, offer several preset amounts or show a field where the buyer types their own, with a minimum that you decide.
Then the customer arrives. They choose an amount, write a message and enter the recipient's email. They can send it right away or schedule the date and time, up to three months ahead, so it arrives on a birthday or on Christmas Eve. If they prefer to print it, they get a PDF by email and hand it over in person.
Images so it doesn't feel like a last-minute gift
A gift card can feel impersonal. That is why the plugin lets you create unlimited image categories (Christmas, birthdays, friendship, family) so the buyer can choose an illustration that fits the occasion. They can also upload their own photos and write a personal message.
This has a practical effect: someone who can't find a way to personalize the gift tends to give up. Offering those options reduces that friction.
Gift cards for a specific product in your catalog
On a product page you can show a button that generates a gift card for the same amount as that item and recommends it to the recipient. An additional option lets the sender also include shipping costs. It works for people who want to give a specific item without shipping it themselves, but remember that the card is credit, not a reservation of the product: the recipient decides what to buy.
Physical cards, bulk codes and QR
- Physical cards: you can sell non-digital cards and ship them to the customer once the order is completed.
- Bulk codes: from the dashboard you create several codes for the same amount without generating orders.
- QR code: optional. When scanned, the recipient lands in the shop with the code already applied to the cart.
- Import and export: gift cards can be moved to CSV, and there is an option to convert Smart Coupons store credit coupons into gift cards.
Notifications for the sender and control from the dashboard
People who give a gift often wonder whether the message arrived and whether the other person liked it. You can enable a notice when the card is delivered and another when it is used on a purchase. For your part, you see the cards sold in a dashboard, you can disable them, check the orders where they were used and see the spent and remaining balance.
One limitation: it is a plugin for WooCommerce, so it doesn't work without that shop. And the design adapts to the theme, but check in the demo how it looks with yours.
