About Zamans – Personal Painting Portfolio Elementor Pro Template
A painter almost never sells paintings through their website
They get something else, and it is more valuable: commissions, exhibitions, gallery representation, classes. The direct sale of a piece usually closes in person, at a fair or through someone acting as an intermediary. What the website does is get you there.
That is why an artist site built like a shop fails from the top. The cart and the buy button give the wrong impression of the work, and on top of that they do not answer what an interested person actually asks: what size it is, what year, what technique, and whether the artist takes similar commissions.
Zamans is an Elementor template kit for painters and artists, with personal business, work, portfolio and services pages. It works precisely because it is framed as a dossier rather than as commerce.
What it includes
- Template kit for Elementor, with pages already laid out and ready to import.
- Focus on painting and art: personal business, work, portfolio and artistic services.
- Modern and fully responsive design, according to the vendor.
- Simple installation and editing without writing a line of code, being Elementor.
- Distinctive design meant for presenting work, not a commercial catalogue.
The page for each piece is the one that matters
It is what separates a useful artist site from a pretty photo album. Each piece should carry, besides the image: title, year, technique, support and dimensions. Those are the five details anyone in the art world asks for before asking anything else, and leaving them out forces an email exchange that often never happens.
And an honest photograph. The work shot with side light, without cropping the frame and without retouching the colour: people who buy art can spot a flattered photo, and the distrust it creates costs more than the shine it adds.
If you also sell reproductions or prints, separate them clearly from original work. Mixing them in the same grid confuses the price and devalues the latter.
What decides a commission
Show the process, not only the result. Someone commissioning a portrait or a piece for a specific space needs to picture the road there. Sketches, stages, the studio. That is what turns a visit into a conversation.
Say which commissions you take and which you do not. Sizes, techniques, approximate timescales and whether you work from photographs or from life. Filtering upfront saves emails that lead nowhere.
Put contact on every piece page. Interest appears while looking at a specific work, not on the contact page. An "ask about this piece" link on each page performs far better than a general form.
What it does not do
It is a template kit, not a theme. It needs Elementor and a base theme to run on. It does not replace the theme: it contributes the pages and the design.
And here is a concrete warning: the name says Elementor Pro. Some templates in these kits use features that only exist in the paid version of the builder, so it is worth having it so everything imports as it looks in the demonstration.
It brings no shop or payment gateway. If you genuinely want to sell work or prints online, WooCommerce and its configuration are separate, including shipping, which in art is not trivial.
It also does not manage rights or certificates of authenticity, which for original work is settled off the website.
Requirements and getting started
An up to date WordPress, Elementor (predictably in its Pro version for the reason above) and a compatible base theme.
1. Install the base theme and Elementor before importing the kit. 2. Import only the templates you will use; the rest fill your library without contributing. 3. Prepare the photographs of the work before laying anything out: it is what shapes the result most. 4. Write three complete piece pages, with the five details, before deciding the grid design.
Alternatives in the catalogue
If the portfolio weighs more than the individual piece, Agencium is a complete theme built around showing work, rather than a kit.
Among template kits with the same visual approach, Nordicus goes down the architecture route, which shares with art the need to present projects with details. And if the studio is interior design, Ollis. The builder required is Elementor Pro.
Frequently asked questions
Is it a theme or a template kit?
A kit. It needs Elementor and a base theme to run on.
Do I need Elementor Pro?
The product name indicates so, and it is the prudent assumption for everything to import as in the demonstration.
Can I sell paintings with it?
Not out of the box. The shop is WooCommerce separately, with its shipping and configuration.
What details should I put on each piece?
Title, year, technique, support and dimensions. Those are the five always asked for.
Does it work for disciplines other than painting?
Yes. The work and portfolio structure serves sculpture, illustration or photography equally.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. It is edited from Elementor without touching code.
