About AffiliateWP Affiliate Landing Pages

When the ?ref= link scares the sale away

Some people hover over a link and check the URL in the browser bar before clicking. If they see a long string of parameters and odd characters, or they know someone will earn a commission, many simply don't click. For you, that is a sale that never reached your store. AffiliateWP Affiliate Landing Pages is an AffiliateWP addon that tackles exactly that: the affiliate promotes a regular page on your site, with a clean URL, instead of an affiliate link.

How AffiliateWP Affiliate Landing Pages assigns a page to each affiliate

Any WordPress page or post can be assigned to an affiliate from a box called Affiliate Landing Pages. You search for the affiliate by username, name or email, and partial searches work.

When a visitor arrives through that URL, the affiliate's ID is stored in a cookie. If they buy, the affiliate receives their commission, just like with standard AffiliateWP tracking. An affiliate can have more than one page assigned.

Affiliates see their assigned pages in the Affiliate URLs tab of their Affiliate Area. You can also show them to the affiliate with the [affiliate_landing_pages] shortcode.

Four real situations, one per type of affiliate

The one who writes a guest post

An affiliate writes an article for your site. You publish it and assign it to that person: they can spread the article's URL on social media, email, ad campaigns or their own sites, without an affiliate link.

The brand ambassador

You create a page with their name, for example /sasha, and assign it to them. Since the page is yours, you can add their name, photo or phone number, whatever suits your business.

The exclusive affiliate for a product

A page dedicated to a specific product, assigned to a single affiliate, gives them their own URL for that product.

Several exclusive affiliates for the same product

Each page can only be assigned to one affiliate. If you want several of them to promote the same product, you create one child page per affiliate, with URLs like /product/sasha.

You design with what you already use

The pages are built with the WordPress editor, your theme's templates or your page builder. There is no separate editor to learn, and you decide how it looks.

One page per affiliate: the cost of keeping them up

  • It is an AffiliateWP addon: it needs AffiliateWP installed and does not work on its own.
  • Each page or post can only be assigned to one affiliate, so with many affiliates you will have to create and maintain many pages.
  • You write the content of each page yourself; the addon does not generate or personalize it automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Does the affiliate still need to use their link?

No. They can promote the assigned page's URL without their affiliate link.

How is the sale recorded?

With a cookie that stores the affiliate's ID when the visitor lands on the page. It works like standard AffiliateWP tracking.

Can I assign several pages to the same affiliate?

Yes. And the affiliate sees them all from their Affiliate Area.

Can I give the same page to two affiliates?

No. For that, create child pages, one per affiliate.
