About AffiliateWP - Order Details For Affiliates

Your affiliates keep asking what the customer they referred actually bought

When an affiliate sees a commission in their dashboard but can't tell which order it belongs to, they do what anyone would do: email you. "What is this referral for?" "Was this refunded?" Every question is an email you answer by hand, and the more active affiliates you have, the more time it eats.

AffiliateWP - Order Details For Affiliates adds an area to the affiliate dashboard where each logged-in affiliate can check the information about the order that generated their referral, without going through you.

Which order data affiliates see and how you control it

The add-on can show this data:

  • Order number
  • Order date
  • Order total
  • Referral amount
  • Customer name
  • Customer email
  • Customer phone (WooCommerce only)
  • Shipping address (WooCommerce only)
  • Billing address (WooCommerce only)

Phone and address data depend on WooCommerce. Other stores are not supported.

Here is the delicate point: this is your customers' personal data, and you may not want an affiliate to see anyone's phone or address by default. That's why the add-on lets you disable specific fields, so you can show only the number, date and amounts and hide everything that identifies the buyer. Think about what the affiliate really needs to know to understand their commission, and no more.

Access for all affiliates or one by one

There are two ways to grant access:

  • Global: all affiliates see the details of their orders.
  • Per affiliate: only the ones you choose. Useful if you want to reserve it for trusted partners instead of opening it to anyone who signs up.

The details appear in the affiliate dashboard or on any page through the [affiliate_order_details] shortcode. You can also send the affiliate an email with those details the moment the referral is created, so they find out without having to log in.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work without AffiliateWP?

No. It is an AffiliateWP add-on and works on top of its affiliate dashboard, so you need the main plugin.

Does it work with any store?

Only with Easy Digital Downloads and WooCommerce.

Can I hide the customer's email or address?

Yes, you can disable the specific information you don't want to show.

Can I change how the table looks?

Yes. Copy the dashboard-tab-order-details.php template from the add-on into the affiliatewp folder of your child theme and edit it.

Do all affiliates see all orders?

No: each logged-in affiliate sees the orders of the referrals they generated.

The template is customized from the child theme

If the default layout doesn't fit your dashboard, you need to touch code: the template is copied to the child theme and edited there.

What to decide before opening it to your affiliates

Before turning it on, decide three things: whether access will be global or per affiliate, which fields you will hide, and whether you want the email on every referral. Make a test purchase with an affiliate account and check exactly what that person sees. If you sell with WooCommerce and your customers provide personal data, be careful about what you share with third parties.
