Manually linking your own articles is the job nobody does
Once a site reaches a few dozen posts, nobody remembers what was written a year ago or which page deserves a link. You publish, move on to the next thing, and older articles end up loose, without a single link connecting them to the rest. AIO SEO Link Assistant Addon tries to solve exactly that: it reviews your content and suggests where to link to other pages on your own site.
The person who installs this is usually running a blog, a content site or a website with a lot of accumulated text. Their problem is not a lack of content, but that the content does not support itself. A site with good material but poor linking wastes pages that could be getting visits.
Suggestions inside the editor and links inserted with one click
The addon analyzes your texts and looks for phrases that match titles or content on other pages. When it finds a match with context, it proposes it as a linking opportunity. The pieces that make it up:
- Contextual suggestions: based on the relationship between pages, not just isolated words.
- Proposed anchor text: it suggests the link text so it reads naturally.
- One-click insertion: you apply the suggestion without leaving WordPress.
- Bulk editor: you review and apply several links at once across different pages from a single panel.
It adds nothing on its own: each suggestion can be reviewed, edited or dismissed before it goes into the content. You decide which link makes sense for the reader.
Cornerstone content and reports to see which pages remain isolated
You can mark any post or page as cornerstone content from the AIOSEO settings on the editing screen. From then on, the addon prioritizes link suggestions toward those pages, which is useful if you have a few that you really want to rank.
The reports show link counts, distribution and pending opportunities. They help you spot pages with few internal links and check over time whether they improve. It also includes monitoring of the health of your internal links from its own dashboard.
In the settings you choose which content types and statuses are analyzed, exclude specific posts or pages, and define words you don't want to generate suggestions. It's worth configuring this before you start so the list isn't full of noise.

It is an add-on, not a standalone plugin: it is activated from the AIOSEO features manager, so you need the main AIOSEO plugin. In addition, it currently works with content created in the block editor (Gutenberg) and performs best with English text. If you build with page builders or write in another language, run a test to see whether the suggestions are useful before counting on it.
Does it add links automatically without my knowing?
No. It proposes and you approve, edit or dismiss each link.
Can I limit which content it analyzes?
Yes. You choose content types and statuses, exclude specific pages and set words to ignore.
Does it work with Elementor or other page builders?
For now it is designed for block editor content. If you work with a page builder, don't assume it will analyze those pages.
Is it useful on a Spanish-language site?
It performs better with English. In Spanish, test it with a few posts and judge whether the quality of the suggestions is worth it.
Can I prioritize my most important pages?
Yes, by marking them as cornerstone content: the addon will suggest links toward them.
