About Attika – Elegant Restaurant Theme

Before the design, decide who handles your bookings

A restaurant picks a theme by looking at photos of dishes, and the question that matters most comes later: when someone presses "Book", where does that booking go? In Attika the answer is written on the demo form itself: Powered by OpenTable.

The reservation form and the popup are shortcodes built for OpenTable. For a venue already working with that service this is an advantage: the form on the site itself asks for party size and time. For a venue that writes bookings in a notebook or takes them by email, the theme's reservation form depends on a platform it does not use yet.

That is why this should be settled first. The reservation shortcode is set up with your OpenTable ID. Without that ID, you will have to plan bookings another way.

Eight home pages and a highly adjustable look

Attika is aimed at fine dining and also suits bistros and other restaurants. Its eight example home pages are Main Home, Restaurant Home, Seafood Restaurant, Fine Dining, Restaurant Menu, Dish Showcase, Fullscreen Showcase and Columns Carousel.

  • Five header types: Standard, Minimal, Divided, Bottom and Vertical, with separate logos for light backgrounds, dark backgrounds and mobile.
  • Over 800 Google Fonts, with an option to disable them.
  • Child theme included and translation ready.
  • WooCommerce compatible, with pages for product list, product, cart, checkout, account and wishlist.

The menu, the chef and the opening hours already have a place

Attika includes pieces designed for a dining room:

  • Restaurant Menu List: the menu with dishes, descriptions and prices.
  • Menu Popup: the menu in a popup.
  • Reservation Form and Reservation Popup: booking inside the page or in a window.
  • Working Hours: the opening hours.
  • Example inner pages: Accolades, Chef Bio, Our Kitchen, Restaurant History, Opening Hours, Visit Us and Contact Us.

If you plan to use these pages, prepare the material first: awards, the chef's biography, kitchen photos and the history of the venue.

Email, delivery and Elementor sit outside its features

Bookings go through OpenTable. Email bookings are not among its features, and OpenTable is the only booking service tested with the theme. Another booking plugin may work, but its fit is not guaranteed.

It is not an ordering system either. Its features do not include home delivery or pickup orders. The shop is WooCommerce with its own design, for selling products.

It comes with WPBakery, not Elementor. It includes WPBakery Page Builder and Slider Revolution. Its features do not include templates for Elementor.

From the package to the first published page

The theme relies on the plugins that come with it: Attika Core, Attika Restaurant, WPBakery Page Builder and Slider Revolution. Before publishing, test the shop and the home pages on a copy of the site with your versions of WordPress, PHP and WooCommerce.

  1. Decide how you will receive bookings.
  2. Install the theme and its plugins, and activate the child theme if you plan to touch code.
  3. Pick a home page and import its demo content with one click.
  4. Replace the menu, prices, hours and photos with your own.
  5. Connect the reservation form or remove it from the home page, and test a full booking from a phone.

Other tables in the catalog

If you want to receive bookings on your own website, Five Star Restaurant Reservations puts the form on your site and keeps the diner's details in your database. With Attika, check first that it works properly, because it has not been tested with this theme.

To compare other restaurant themes there are Benoit, Deliciko and Tastyc, and for a fish restaurant, Pesce.

Questions before choosing Attika

Can I take bookings without OpenTable?

Not with its reservation form, which is built for OpenTable. You would have to add another system and test that it works properly with the theme.

Is it only for fine dining?

No. It is designed for fine dining restaurants, and it also suits any restaurant or bistro.

Can I sell on the site?

Yes, it is compatible with WooCommerce and includes shop layouts. Its features do not include food delivery orders.

Which page builder do I need?

WPBakery Page Builder comes in the package, along with Slider Revolution.
