You write a post with six photos and set each one's alt text to be the post title. All six images end up with exactly the same text, even though one shows the exterior and another a detail. The template was applied correctly; the result is repetitive.

• Capitalization: unchanged, lowercase, uppercase, title case or sentence case.
• Filename cleanup: removes hyphens, underscores, periods, commas, apostrophes, signs and symbols, parentheses, brackets, braces or all numbers. It also supports removing specific words and filtering with regular expressions.
• Bulk updater: it affects the whole site or only the images, posts or products you choose, and either overwrites existing values or only fills the empty ones.

If your catalog images are uploaded with meaningless names, a template that uses the filename will add nothing. A template that combines the WooCommerce product title with the variation, on the other hand, can tell one photo from another, if each photo belongs to a variation.

It is a combination you should test on a few products before launching the bulk updater, and review the resulting texts in the media library using the option to fill only the empty ones.

• The text comes from a template, not from what the image shows. Among its features there is no description of the image based on its visual content.
• The bulk updater can overwrite. If you choose that option for an attribute, it will replace whatever is written.

It works on WordPress, with or without WooCommerce or an SEO plugin, depending on the tags you use.

1. Install the plugin with the WordPress installer and activate it.
2. Open its settings and define the template for each attribute with the tags you need.
