About AutomatorWP - Sensei LMS
Passing is a threshold; your academy may need more
A student takes a quiz and the system tells you whether they passed or failed. That yes-or-no answer treats someone who barely clears the line and someone who clears it comfortably the same, and your academy may want to treat them differently.
"Passed" is a single threshold, and the percentage trigger, which is Pro level, lets you draw your own on the same quiz.
AutomatorWP Sensei LMS connects Sensei LMS with AutomatorWP. Sensei provides the academy's events, such as completing a lesson or passing a quiz, and AutomatorWP turns them into rules that run on their own, with actions that enroll or unenroll the student from a course.
Seven triggers and two actions
The triggers it offers are these:
- The user attempts a quiz.
- The user completes a course.
- The user completes a lesson.
- The user passes a quiz.
- The user fails a quiz.
- The user completes a quiz with a grade greater than, less than or equal to a percentage: you compare the grade with the percentage you choose.
- The user is enrolled in a course.
There are two actions: enroll the user in a course and unenroll them from a course. Three of the triggers (attempting a quiz, completing a course and completing a lesson) are offered at no cost; the other triggers and the two actions are Pro level.
An example with two rules on the same quiz
This example uses Pro-level features. Suppose you have a starter course, an advanced one and a refresher one:
- Create an automation with the trigger for a grade greater than a high percentage and the action that enrolls the student in the advanced course.
- Create another with the failed quiz trigger and the action that enrolls them in the refresher course.
You choose the percentage, and the grades that fall between one rule and the other trigger neither of them. Adjust the percentages and the courses to what your academy needs.
Limits of the integration
There are two actions: enroll and unenroll. Among its features there are no actions to create courses, lessons or quizzes, or to change a student's grade.
The attempt trigger, the passed trigger and the failed trigger are different events. When building the rule, choose carefully which one you listen to.

- Create a new automation in AutomatorWP.
- Choose a Sensei LMS event as the trigger and specify the course, lesson or quiz.
- Add enrolling or unenrolling from a course as the action.

To compare in the catalog
To automate with other learning plugins, look at AutomatorWP Pro and Uncanny Automator Pro. The same catalog also has Sensei Pro WC Paid Courses.
