About Avada Core
Avada Core does not work without the Avada theme
Building sites for different industries often ends up as a patchwork: one plugin for forms, another for headers, another for the shop, each with its own style. Avada Core is the add-on for the Avada theme, and people looking for it usually want a single system for all of that.
One warning first: it is an add-on, not a theme. The Avada theme is downloaded and installed separately; without it, this plugin has nothing to build on.
Anyone who builds websites knows the homepage is the easy part. The time goes into the pieces repeated in every project: header, footer, product page, cart, archive pages. That is where a unified system really saves work.
Headers, footers, menus and shop in the same editor with Avada Core
Avada relies on a front-end visual editor and on dedicated builders for each piece:
- Layout, Header and Footer Builder: templates for any type of content, with headers and footers designed from scratch.
- Mega Menu and Off-Canvas Builder: multi-column menus with widgets, icons and images, plus slide-out panels, side carts and mobile menus.
- Form Builder: forms with conditional logic and integrations.
- WooCommerce Builder: design of the product page, categories, cart and checkout.
- Dynamic Data and Conditional Layouts: they fill elements with data from posts, custom fields, ACF or taxonomies, and show different content depending on role, device or location.
On top of that come more than 150 design elements (containers, columns, sliders, galleries, accordions, counters, pricing tables, testimonials) with global styles and per-element adjustments.
What you should be clear about
All of this belongs to the Avada package: Core is the add-on and needs the theme installed. The WooCommerce Builder only makes sense if the shop runs on WooCommerce. And it is a big system: if you only need a four-page site, so many options may be more than you need.
Common questions before installing Avada Core
Can I use it on its own, without the theme?
No. It is an add-on for the Avada theme, which has to be downloaded separately.
Is it suitable for an online shop?
Yes, with WooCommerce. You can design product pages, categories, cart and checkout, as well as side carts and quick views.
Does it support multilingual sites?
It works with WPML and Polylang, includes support for right-to-left languages such as Arabic or Hebrew, and allows independent theme options per language.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Colors, typography and spacing are adjusted from the editor, without code.
Speed, accessibility and SEO: help yes, guarantee no
Avada includes a performance wizard with guidance for Core Web Vitals, automatic JavaScript and CSS minification and compilation, WCAG accessibility features and markup compatible with Yoast SEO, Rank Math and All In One SEO.
These are good foundations, but the final result depends on your images, your content and your hosting. No tool on its own ensures a score or accessibility compliance.

There are starter sites for industries such as corporate, shop, portfolio, education, health and beauty, events, food or travel, imported with images, layouts and content. The Studio library also offers more than 650 ready-to-insert blocks, and everything can be modified.
Pick the demo closest to your client's industry and review its header, footer and, if you sell, the product and cart pages. Adapting something that already works is faster than rebuilding every template from scratch.
