About BookingPress WooCommerce Payment Gateway Addon
Two cash registers for the same money
If you sell products in a WooCommerce store and also take appointments, you usually end up with two cash registers: orders on one side and bookings on the other, each with its own way of charging and its own month-end review. This add-on brings both into a single flow.
In a business that mixes products and services, the problem is rarely a lack of payment methods. The hard part is not knowing which booking paid for which order when it is time to balance the books.
BookingPress WooCommerce Payment Gateway Addon: the booking ends at the WooCommerce checkout
The customer picks a service in BookingPress and pays at the WooCommerce checkout, the one they already know from your store. Here is what it does:
- Lets customers complete the appointment payment at the WooCommerce checkout.
- Connects specific BookingPress services with WooCommerce products.
- Uses for appointments the payment methods you already have active in the store.
- Manages appointment payments as WooCommerce orders, keeping them connected.
The advantage is that you do not set up a separate gateway for bookings: whatever your store accepts, your appointments accept too.
Three businesses where it makes sense
The store that added services
You sell products and have started offering installation, consulting or classes. With this add-on those appointments come in as orders alongside the rest, and the way you review sales does not change.
The service business that already sells products
You take appointments and have a small store to complement them. Having both payments in WooCommerce saves you from checking two dashboards to see how much came in.
The one who wants to offer more ways to pay
If your store already accepts several methods your customers use, bookings inherit them with no extra work. Keep in mind, though, that you will only have the ones WooCommerce offers in your setup.
Questions before activating it
Does it work without BookingPress premium? No. It is a BookingPress add-on and needs the plugin in its premium version.
Do I need WooCommerce set up? Yes. The store must be installed with its payment methods active, because payment happens at its checkout.
Is it useful if I have no store? Setting up WooCommerce just for this probably is not worth it. BookingPress has other direct payment add-ons, such as Stripe or Mollie, built for that case.
How does the customer see the payment? Check the manufacturer's demo to see how the flow moves from the booking to the checkout and whether it feels comfortable for your audience.
It needs BookingPress premium and a running WooCommerce store
It does not work on its own: it depends on both. It adds no payment methods of its own, it only reuses those from your store. And the link between each service and its product is something you have to prepare, so review it before opening bookings.
