About Bookly Authorize.Net (Add-on)
Charging for appointments by card when your gateway is already Authorize.Net
Many appointment businesses come to Bookly with a payment gateway already in place: their bank or processor gave them an Authorize.Net account, and now they need the booking form to use it. If the form does not offer that method, the client books and then you have to chase payment elsewhere. This add-on adds Authorize.Net as a payment option inside the Bookly online booking form.
Something almost nobody thinks about when choosing: a payment add-on does not replace your account with the gateway, it only connects the form to it. What decides whether your clients pay without friction is that the account is properly set up and that the way you charge fits what the form allows.
What changes in the booking form with Bookly Authorize.Net
- Credit card payment: the client pays for the appointment when booking, within the same flow, without jumping to another payment system.
- Price correction: you can change the appointment price when the client chooses Authorize.Net.
- Tax data sent to the gateway: if the Bookly Taxes add-on is installed and active, the tax information is sent to Authorize.Net along with the payment.
How it fits depending on your type of business
If you charge a surcharge by payment method
Price correction lets the amount change depending on the method chosen. First check whether applying a surcharge is allowed where you operate, because it varies by country and card type.
If you handle taxes on your bookings
With Bookly Taxes active, the tax breakdown travels to the gateway. Without that other add-on, do not count on that data being sent.
It needs Bookly PRO to work
This plugin is an add-on: it does not work on its own. You need Bookly PRO installed and active, and the free version of Bookly is not enough. In addition, the integration focuses on credit card payment inside the Bookly form; it is not a store or a general payment system for the rest of your website. And sending tax data requires the Bookly Taxes add-on.
