Badly typed addresses, missed appointments
Someone booking a home service types the address in a hurry, from their phone and half-finished: "C/ Mayor 12", with no floor, no postal code, and a typo in the street name. The problem only shows up when the professional is already on the way or can't find the door. In a business where the client receives you at home or at their premises, the address isn't just another form field: it decides whether the appointment actually happens. Bookly Google Maps Address Addon targets exactly that point.
How autocomplete works in the Bookly form
The add-on uses the Google Maps autocomplete service inside the booking form. As the client types, suggestions appear and they pick the right one instead of typing everything by hand. That reduces entry errors and shortens that step of the booking.
- Search by street and by business name.
- Data saved in Customers: the address entered in the booking is automatically recorded in Bookly's Customers section so you can check it later.
Which booking businesses benefit from Bookly Google Maps Address Addon
It is useful when the client's location is part of the service: cleaning, repairs, home beauty services, mobile physiotherapy, private lessons, removals or any trade that travels. It also helps if you pick up or deliver something at a specific address. If all your clients come to your premises, the add-on adds little, because nobody needs to enter an address.
What to decide before adding it to your Bookly: requirements, limits and questions
The decision is simple: does your booking depend on an address that currently reaches you incomplete? If so, this add-on fits. Before that, be clear about the following.
Does it work on its own?
No. It is an add-on that requires Bookly PRO. Without that base installed, it does nothing.
Does it calculate routes, distances or travel surcharges?
That is not what the add-on describes. Its job is to autocomplete the address in the form and save it in Customers. If you need zone-based pricing or trip calculation, don't count on it and check the Bookly demo.
Can the client type an address that doesn't appear in the suggestions?
This is a question worth testing in the demo before deciding, especially if you serve rural areas or new developments that Google may cover less well.
Is the address saved for future bookings?
Yes, the address details entered in the form are saved in Bookly's Customers section so you can look them up later.
Is it hard to set up?
It integrates with Bookly PRO like the rest of the Bookly add-ons. To use the Google Maps service, check which settings your Google account needs before going live.
